Oh that poor sweet baby. His little sad hanging head absolutely shatters my heart. I'm so glad he's being adopted! And there was someone else interested too, so in case the first one doesn't work out, it sounds like there's a backup.
That shelter is an absolute hellhole. There is a whole wing of cages that are exposed to the outdoors and end up covered in ticks. They let dogs hit by cars sit for weeks untreated. There are so many dogs just like him. Senior dogs dropped off and their owner walks right back out with a puppy. Others being abandoned in the Redlands or out in the Everglades. It's a disgusting situation in Miami. If you are ever looking to donate, rescues in South Florida are completely strapped and struggling.

I follow Big Hearts for Big Dogs on facebook and would give all the monies if I had them. Their post get me all the time, especially the condition some of those dogs are in at shelters.
I had already planned out how to use my Powerball winnings to fund rescues. So many amazing people doing amazing work for nothing but the love of an animal. We would probably also have a ton of dogs too.

This is why I want to throat punch anyone selling puppies on FB/craigslist.

The director of one of our local shelters was forced to resign when she bought a puppy from a breeder and did not adopt from the shelter she runs, nor any of the other local shelters. The idiot posted it on her public FB page and shit hit the fan!

I was just coming to post the adoption video. Look at the difference in him. He's not joyful, but he's hopeful. I hope he and his new family have years of joy and companionship in the future.

I'm so glad he's been adopted. His little face broke my heart and I legitimately cried for him. This happens every time I see rescues, I want to give all the animals homes where they're loved and cared for. Seeing everybody else saying the same thing and knowing I'm not the only one is good.
I was so sad about this yesterday. I shared it on fb and dh called me satan for making him sad too. I'm so glad to see him adopted and I hope the attention helps some of the other animals get adopted too.
