Hi there, our 60 day window opens tomorrow, so I was going to log on tonight at midnight(ish) to try and snag the hard to get FP.
My question is: if our whole party won't be riding 1 ride (say the 7 Dwarves one), should I still try to get one for everyone and move stuff around later?
More info: We are only going for a few days and only going to MK. We are staying at the AoA Cars Suite. Our party will be: me, DH, my MIL, our 4 year old DS and our 1 year old DS. (My MIL is coming to help us and also offered to babysit (!!!) after the boys are in bed), she and my DH love roller coasters and I do not, so I assume I would stay with the baby during those rides.
Any other tips? I have never been to Disney World and I am more excited than I probably should be!
Also adding a photo of how we told our 4 year old DS. He opened the box (my FIL made for me at work) and the balloons flew out. It was awesome!

So fun! This sounds super dorky, but since you have never been there either, I would take a look at the map of the park and decide what are your must do rides and have in the back of your mind a list of priorities, since you may not get to see everything. If the Space Ranger spin is available for a FP, i would consider doing that one too for your DS.

What FP are you trying to get?
The less people in the group the easier it will be to get the FP. The Dibb is showing availability for groups of four for the big attractions. So you will probably be okay to book them all the same and change as need later. Just make sure you don't delete. It makes you delete all three.

Fun!
M was 3.5yo when we went to Disney last year. He LOVED the Tomorrowland Speedway, we rode it twice on each of our MK days so make sure you put that on your list. (You don't necessarily need a FP for that though)
Yes- book all of the " hard to get" fast passes for all of you. You may be able to let the rest of your party ride twice with a rider switch pass. ALSO it will be pretty easy to switch FPs around for easier to get rides ( say you want to take the baby on Winnie the Pooh while your party rides Seven Dwarfs) rather than switch Winne the Pooh for Seven Dwarves ( impossible).
Ashley&Scott - DS LOVED the Tommorowland Speedway too! I had never been on it in all of my trips and we ended up doing it three times!!
Ok, so I messed up. haha I logged on to the WD site to make note of the FP's I want and looks like my window opened today.
I missed out on the Elsa and Ana (unless late at night), but was able to get the 7 dwarves for both days. My MIL went when this ride was being built, so she really wants this one.
First day:
Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin
second day: (this is the magic hours day, so the park will likely be very busy. We planned to maybe just do a half day and spend the rest of the day at the pool at AoA.
Meet Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theater Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Peter Pan's Flight
I tried to look at the map when I chose these. They look like they are all relatively close, but I have never been there, so who knows if I made a huge mistake.
