artgal84 Yes the UD Gwen blush palette is on my wish list as well as the new Bon Bons palette. I loooove the Gwen eyeshadow palette, glad to hear the blush palette is so great!
6 days a week. I usually wear a full face of I'm going to work. I'm not brand loyal and my products are a mix of high end and drugstore. my favorite brands are Lancôme, maybelline, Nyx, and Palladio (for brow pencils).
Eta: looks good to me!
I think I remember we use the same foundation. Did you see they came out with a stick version? I really want to try it!
I didn't know they released a stick version. I'll probably stick to liquid because I have to mix and match to get my color. I actually added Mufe mat velvet foundation to the mix because the Lancôme and maybelline had too flashback in nighttime pics.
Okay, stupid questions: what is bb cream and what do you use bronzer for?
I feel like I would look ridiculous with lipstick.
Start by using a lipstick that is close to your natural lip color. After you get used to that, try something a little different/more dramatic.
You look great fusion! I use Clinique concealer, Maybelline pencil eyeliner, Covergirl powder and Maybelline great lash mascara as my everyday face. I really need some new eye shadows, so I'm keeping my eye on this thread. I know there is a lot of love for the Naked palettes.
I'm no expert. I watch youtube videos and implicitly trust Lisa Eldridge. I love, love, love, my Smashbox Pop Studio Palette. I have had it for a couple years (kind of gross to have makeup that long... but I don't care). I reach for it all the time.
Depending on your budget, there are some great upscale and drugstore products. I think the Urban Decay Naked palettes are great to start with because the colours are all natural. If you have a Sephora close by, go in and talk to one of their reps. They will tell you which palette will have the best shades for you. It's fun to have a bunch of shades to play with.
Invest in some brushes to make your life easier. The Sephora brand is pretty inexpensive and they are good quality. I use a bronzer brush to buff on my foundation (sounds weird, but it works!)
I love drugstore products too.. The only drugstore product I don't love is typically eyeliners. I have not had any great luck with either liquid liners or pencil. The higher end brands tend to be more pigmented and don't flake off as easily. The pencils are creamier and just glide on your eye. No tugging required.

I've never tried the Mufe foundation but I always hear it's great, I wonder if I can get a sample at Sephora. I like to mix my foundation with a BB cream to get my just right shade too. It's like a science experiment in my bathroom at times.
Full face peeps, how long does it take for you to put it on? I'd like to up my game a bit, but I'm just too lazy.
I wear mascara most every day (unless I forget, which is happening more frequently) because my lashes are very blond. If they were darker, I wouldn't bother. That's it for daily wear.
My coworker sometimes does my face for events or Friday night. She uses 11 million products and all sorts of brushes. The end result looks amazing, but I'm a twitchy five year through the application process, so I don't think I'll ever make the time to learn to do it myself. She has a couple urban decay palettes, a ton of MAC lipsticks, and the other brands are lost on me.
I'm so lazy and I haven't worn any make up in years. Even then, it was just for weddings. I have no idea what I'm doing and said I wanted to learn for when I went back to work and I haven't.
We have a Sephora. Do I just go in and ask them to show me what I would look good in and have them show me? I need the shortest, easiest thing ever. I don't even blow dry my hair I'm so lazy.

You can, but you need to tell them you want a basic everyday look. The UD naked basics palette would be good for you. It's small and mostly matte shades. When I need to bring makeup somewhere I always bring it because the lighter shades I can use to fill in my brows too.
bigapple, I would say 10-15 minutes? My order of operations: moisturizer and under eye cream right out of the shower, primer, foundation, powder, blush. Eyeliner, shadow, mascara, brows.
skwcm80, I've been using Make Up forever loose HD powder and I like how matte it is, but I noticed some flashback. This is almost never a problem because I don't go out much Any translucent powder recs? I don't think it's my foundation...
I'm full-face on work days. For me, there's an elaborate skin care routine (7 days/2x day) but then my full face goes pretty quickly - maybe 7 minutes? More if I'm doing some elaborate with eyeshadow? It's primer (MUFE), tinted moisturizer (Laura Mercier), Sephora brand highlighting concealer for under my eyes/blemishes, MUFE HD powder, eyeliner (Revlon), mascara (Maybelline), and blush (Nars Orgasm). I'll often do a basic eyeshadow from my Naked 2 palette but I'm still learning so I don't do it every day. Lipstick goes on in the car.
On weekends I try to give my skin a break so I usually do a moisturizing mask and will only put on eyeliner and mascara unless it's date night or a special event.
I have the IOPE cushion in my Amazon cart but haven't pulled the trigger yet. I know cushions are all the rage in parts of Asia and I'm intrigued but the price point is a little high and I haven't felt swayed enough to buy without trying! I think cushions are supposed to replace primer/foundation.
I've started lurking on the Makeup board, initially drawn in by skincare discussions...

I don't use translucent powder for the same reason. I've been using Mac's skinfinish natural for a few years.
does anyone use lip stain? I like the idea but the application seems scary.
Not as scary as you might think. I like the elf lip stain, you can build the coverage, and you can clean up any mistakes quickly before it dries without making a mess. It's a good idea to use a lip exfoliator, elf makes a good one of those too.
It's so inexpensive too! The key is to exfoliate your lips first and then put a bit of stain on. Then I blot off the extra with a tissue and put some lip balm over it when it's dry. It looks like that pretty cherry Popsicle color after you eat a pop. I have the red.

oh yeah, 1-click shopping doesn't fail me here. Def will try for $3.
fusion lip stain never worked for me, I tried a few types. I think the shape of my lips or something? idk
bigapple my everyday "full face" takes about 5 minutes, tops. For performances or going out, maybe 10 mins. But you get fast at it, quickly! The only thing that slows me down is waiting for my sunscreen, primer, BB cream to set/dry.
Everyday I wear Clinique moisture surge foundation, Urban Decay Virgin eyeshadow, mascara (Clinique right now, sometimes smashbox), cover girl clear mascara on my brows, and cliniques lipgloss (I think it's called raspberry sorbet?
For going out, I add smashbox photo ready primer and under eye primer, a mix of UD neutral shadows, and eyeliner. I've always used UD liquid liner on top and their pencil on bottom, but I recently got eyeko brand in my birch box and love it.

I feel like I would look ridiculous with lipstick.
Thank you for asking this! Lol
I also feel I look ridiculous with lipstick. I actually have had the best luck doing what helicase suggested. I got the nyx lip butter gloss in Tiramisu and it matches my actual lip color so i don't feel self conscious at all.
fusion I love the nyx brow powder, the naked 1 palette, Bare minerals foundation.
What are these translucent and finishing powders people are talking about?
Also I still apply eyeliner like a third grader, rec a tutorial?

I use a BB cream alone for more every day use (I use either bare minerals or smashbox). For more coverage, I use the photograph smashbox primer, bb cream, smashbox mineral foundation and bare minerals warmth and mineral veil. I've been using a neutral plate from NYX, eyeliner and eyebrow pencil and powder from Clinique, and either a bare minerals mascara or maybelline (I forget which one, though off the top of my head). I like the NYX butter glosses too, I have a few I rotate. I was gifted some younique lipstick and surprisingly, I like that too, it lasts a long time.
Na I like the hourglass ambient lighting palette. It has 3 different finishes. A finishing powder, bronze powder and a highlight. It's really wonderful quality and it lasts forever. It's expensive though.
If eyeliner seems too harsh for you try a gray or bronze color on your upper lid only. Put a little on close to your lashes and smudge it with your finger a little to soften it.

Is the UD virgin shadow shimmery at all?
A little bit? It's not like glittery or anything, but there is a little sheen to it

all the tutorials I've watched say to use a translucent finishing powder to set everything at the end, youtube has lots of tutorials! just put in what you want - smoky eye, everyday eye, flirty purple eye, etc.
