@tambcat Are you set on white walls? I think a shade like what eddy has on her walls would look great in your room. It would accentuate the bedspread and the darker colors of the furniture.

I'm replying late but our bed is between two windows too, so maybe it could help you to see our setup. Our nightstands are pretty wide and are actually more like small consoles.

This is a total FWP but our ceilings are 9ft and make my usual target furniture look like doll furniture. lol. I'm sure my grandmother's dresser is going to be dwarfed by them too. How about something like Nama has where the upper third is a different color than the lower 2/3s of the wall? It will draw the eye where it needs to be. Or, alternatively, hang larger art at eye level to trick the eye into focusing there. 

The walls are all BM Revere Pewter and the ceiling is BM White Dove. Its just a weird angled ceilng.

I considered signing up with Havenly to work with an online designer. I think it was $250 or something like that. You answer questions, give your budget etc and they give you a shopping list sort of after they come up with a design (that you get to work with the online designer to tweak it and such).  I decided not to though bc I need a bit more hand holding.

It's 14% off today (valentines special) but I haven't pulled the trigger yet...the cheaper option seems good but they don't offer suggestions on where to put furniture. I think that one would work in my bedroom though...

I think buying things that are the appropriate size/height/width etc and understanding furniture and decor placement are probably as important as the items you actually pick to use.  It's crazy.  I used to buy things I thought were pretty but wondered why it never really made my space any nicer.  lol!!

Honestly I think I'll end up painting, hanging some white curtains we decided not to use in our in the living room, & moving a book shelf we have in the garage. Worst case I spent about $100 and my time.

I could decorate my whole house with Target stuff. I LOVE some of their lamps out right now.

They have some great options. They have a blown glass lamp I love but don't think will work on white dressers.

She is great, thanks for asking! Not much of a baby anymore which makes me sad, but she's a lot of fun right now so no complaints. Your girl is about the same age right?

This is random but do you still make those day in the life videos for her? I think that was you, lol. I remember loving it so much and wanting to do one but of course never did. I remember loving the song too but I can't think of what it was now.
