We are likely going to be visiting family in Florida this December. Our son will be 3.5 so it would be nice to take him but would we be crazy to go as we will have a 4 month old then?

We took DS when he was a baby and DD was 3. There are still a lot of rides he could go on. I have a severe neck injury. and DH has a heart condition, so we can't go on a lot of rides anyway.

Do you mean there are a lot of rides the infant can go on?
You are all confirming what I read - that it will actually be very easy to deal with the infant, easier than a toddler actually.

Yes, there are a lot of rides an infant can go on. My DD also liked a lot of shows at 3.

I was at Magic Kingdom last week with my 2.5 year old ds and my sister had her 2 month old. It was much easier for her! She wore him in the ergo for rides and he slept a lot in his stroller.
We started taking did to Disneyland at 6 weeks. We have passes so she's been 100x but yes much easier when she was under 6 months although it's not awful with her now at 18 months. A good carrier we rider swapped since we have a 3 year old as well. I'm not sure but at least at Disneyland you only need 1 fast pass for a rider swap so you may be able to double your fast passes. Each park should have a baby center if you prefer to nurse in private or need to pump

We took our son to Disney Paris at 18 months and that was pretty easy so if infants are easier we should be ok. I have to read up on all of this - especially the ride swap!

If you are going during the lower crowd first half of Dec. which is typically not insanely crowded it should be fine. It won't be crazy hot but it might get pretty chilly if there is a cold snap so make sure you can bundle baby up well. Other then that little babies are pretty easy put them in the stroller/baby carrier and feed/change/etc as normal while enjoying WDW.

I would definitely take advantage of rider swap. It only applies to rides with height restrictions but you get a ticket to go back through the FP line for up to three people. Ours were good for a couple of days (don't remember how many).
I also liked it because it gave me an excuse not to stand in line with my toddler. Sorry dh need to change or feed baby I'll just ride swap you. Sometimes while they were in line id go get us water refills or a snack
