Friday Randoms

I get up a bit earlier than I need to so that I can get the kids ready and h can take his shower. Since it's spring break, both kids are going to the il's and mil comes to our house to pick them up. Since I didn't have to get kids ready or haul them anywhere, I was at work an hour early. I'm also planning on working through lunch so that I can maybe leave early.

We are going to my mom's tomorrow to dye Easter eggs. Then we have tickets for Disney on Ice on Sunday. I didn't realize it was Easter when I bought the tickets. Oops.

I got an envelope in the mail from ex-H yesterday (it contained another piece of mail that my mail forward didn't catch) - and he didn't even put my name on the envelope. Just my address. Passive aggressive much?

I'm so not going to win my diet bet this month. I've only lost 2 lbs, which is still great considering how shitty my diet had been lately, but I needed to lose 8.5 to win. Ah well. I'll do better next month.

We're moving this weekend! Only four floors down to the second floor. But we're getting a huge patio with gorgeous bird of paradise planters. I can't wait to start gardening again. Even if it's a little container garden.

WHY did I ask H how he was feeling? He is at home with a man cold that I've been hearing about for days. He doesn't even have a fever. Not even a non-fever. He literally has the sniffles.

Like, it actually pisses me off. I basically had 102 for like a month, lol, and the most you'd hear out of me was "like shit" if asked how I felt. I didn't wander around the house complaining. He literally walked into the baby's room last night as I was changing ds, and said "I still have a head ache. Maybe next time I'll take Aleve." .......... ..... ... OK...?!?!

I am such a horrible bitch. lol. I am, however, glad to know that I do have much more sympathy for my kid. I used to truly worry about that given my inability to nurture my H in any way, shape, or form.

Have you looked at the Transformer, the 6 month one? It isn't as much as the 30 day even for the first month, and it tapers down at the end. AND you can actually win some serious cash if you stick with it, whereas you probably only win a couple of bucks on the shorter ones.

Have you looked at the Transformer, the 6 month one? It isn't as much as the 30 day even for the first month, and it tapers down at the end. AND you can actually win some serious cash if you stick with it, whereas you probably only win a couple of bucks on the shorter ones.

I have SO SO SO much to pack/prep and I've barely started. We're leaving on Sunday to drive part way, so we want to have the care loaded up Saturday night. So not only do I have to pack up gear and toys for the drive and the trip, and suitcases for me and both kids, I have to have everything laid out for church, then lunch/egg hunt at H's aunt's house, then driving clothes, then overnight clothes, then more driving clothes.

Oh - and I still have to put Easter Baskets together, devil 18 eggs for the family lunch, and generally get the house ready for use to be gone for a week.

And H is all "I don't see what the big deal is! Just throw some shit in a bag and let's go." *stab stab stab*

I love how easy packing is for the men! Of course, they don't actually pack half of what they need, because they know that you will have packed it. Why, yes, DH, I do have shampoo. And shower gel. And toothpaste.

Bird of Paradise are my favorite flower! Not surprisingly they are difficult to find in Michigan... LOL

It's sunny and not horribly cold, so we're taking Rox for a long hike. Then we have to give her Valium for her vet appt this afternoon She haaates getting her nails clipped, poor thing. Last time we gave her a half dose and it did absolutely nothing. So we're trying a full dose this time to see if it touches her craziness.

Its a holiday here and DDs slept over at my parent's house last night. DH got up early to head into work to get caught up on a project he's working on so I have the house to my self. I slept in until 8:15 which hasn't happened in a long time! I've hard boiled eggs and we will dye them when DDs get home.

We really want to get a dog and I've been watching Kijiji (similar to Craigslist) and FB B/S/T groups. I have sent messages on a couple that we are interested in and no one is getting back to me. Its so frustrating.

Be careful with getting a dog from someone on a site like this. I'd recommend looking into local rescue groups, you'll have a much better idea of what you're getting.

I should be getting our state tax refund on Wednesday. When that happens, I will be paying off one of our car loans. It feels great chipping away at our debt one month at a time.

I've been obsessed with Zillow and our neighborhood is hot. I want to move, but know we aren't ready. Not at all.

IrishBelle this is great advice. Petfinder.com is a great place to start finding rescues in your area.

Today is my last day at my job. I AM SO EXCITED to leave this place...and a lot of people are out for Good Friday so I don't have to say goodbye to many people.

But my favorite associate came in and made me cry after thanking me for everything and making him the lawyer he is. He's by far my favorite coworker ever - and we'll hang out after I leave, but I am going to miss him more than anyone I have ever worked with.

I'm the same. DH sick is just annoying to me. I find it hard to sympathize because nobody gives a crap when I'm sick. I still have to work and parent and generally adult. So too bad so sad dh.
