LOL! Then why are you even in this thread? Get buzzed and spectate.

Im doing the 10k
Is the 10k also a lottery? I keep considering it. I wish it was a half. It seems like a long way to travel for a 10k, but the cheering & GTG aspect is tempting.

I'm in! I will say this. I'm not hell bent on doing this race and there's a small chance that we may give Ivf another chance. If someone really really wants this and didn't get in I will sell you my bib. Please just let me know

Not yet - but there is still time, right? I'm just feeling pessimistic. Hello PMS.
It does take a long time to cross the Atlantic . Just pm me when you know.
Will do and hey, don't feel like you have to give it up - there is a long time to think about it and I will not be upset if you keep it, okay? From what I have read, it is not difficult to pick one up - plenty of people seem to defer (which you could also do!)
I'm in! A 50k and 2 marathons in the Fall doesn't seem too crazy right? Lol. The 50k would involve lots of walking. More like a long hike. I can't believe I'm trying to reason this out.
Registration is NOT a lottery (aka you get in, you get in) and it opens April 27th. I'll send out a reminder
How quickly does this sell out?
I need to time my telling DH I want to go to another H&F GTG this year My birthday is 10/11, so this would be like a delayed birthday present to myself. Right?
I'll join mrshandy in the cheering section! I'm still in my boot, so running is not happening at all right now, but I would love to help cheer everyone on during the race!
I would offer a place to stay, but we will likely (hopefully?) have moved by then and we are TBD on where that will be at the moment.
Will someone educate me on the transfer process? Is it kind of like the Army Ten-Miler where people snatch up the bibs and re-sell them at a premium? Or if I do the transfer, do I have a shot of paying the "normal" entry fee?
And also, I'm sure it's on their website, but does anyone know off the top of their head when the transfers start?

When I transferred the last weekend you could do it, there were way more bibs than people to buy them. People were paying less than face value. I was willing to offer that but found someone to pay the full amount.
there is a fee though that you will have to pay.
stephm0188, I know it's stressful, but I guarantee you will find a bib if you wait. I've never heard of someone not getting one that really wanted one.

agreed. I didn't get in last year & bought one during the transfer. It was pretty easy.
Ok, as of right now I'm thinking 10k, since I can register in April. Even if I don't run it, I'm planning to come down and stay with cousins and cheer everyone on and do meals, etc, for that weekend.
Unless I am majorly pregnant (ha!) or doing a treatment that weekend.

So it's basically whatever someone wants to charge me for their bib, plus the transfer fee is what I'd pay?
