Disney randoms 4/8

I just made another payment toward our Disneyland trip. We're doing 3 days there on our way back from Aulani in June. It's so weird to me to not be doing planning for DL the way I do for WDW.

I have 15 days until I can make my ADRs. DH and I planned on going to Disney Springs twice, eating a quick service one night, and going to Morimoto the other. However, we just decided that Morimoto isn't the best use of our table service credits (it's 2), considering we have two little girls. I'm trying to rework our plans, which isn't horrible, but now I want to try and eat dinner at BOG considering we've only ever been for breakfast and lunch. I'm going to pray to the reservation Gods that I can get one. **fingers crossed*

We liked our BOG lunch, but we really love Crystal Palace. I would do CP over BOG for sure.

I also made my own autograph book through shutterfly with pictures I got through disboards. I got it in the mail yesterday and I'm very pleased with it!

Look at the menu. If it appeals to you I think you'll love it! For me it's just a bit stressful and I don't love the food.... Not really a sandwich person.

No, we're still going to go because we've never been and I'd like to experience it just once. I don't really have high expectations though.

We enjoyed our lunch there(we actually liked dinner better), but it's really cool to see the castle and all the rooms.   We pre-ordered which DS thought was cool when the food just showed up at our table.

I really loved our lunch there, swarley.

WE LEAVE TOMORROW!! We are the worst packers in the history of packing. Overpackers x 2 for 4 people including a baby who still has a lot of blowouts, plus I'm trying to split our stuff between POR stuff and DCL stuff so we don't have to unpack everything. It's bad!

I've never done crystal palace because my kids are meh about those characters...but I also hear such good things about the school. I'm still a little bummed we didn't get into BOG last time, but maybe by our next DW trip (probably 2018) it won't be as coveted?

It was a few years ago, but we loved our lunch there. Not sure if the menu has changed, but we got the tuna nicoise salad & some kind of braised pork situation.

It was our favorite meal! But, we also just stuck to QS restaurants otherwise...

LOL! When I told my 6 year old we were going, she said maybe we should try somewhere new...like the Bahamas (she has seen those Atlantis commercials). I told her sounds good, sans kids.

ive had lunch there twice and loved it both times. The first time I was there we were on the dining plan so we went all out. We each had French onion soup, I had tuna Niçoise salad ( DH had a turkey sandwich) and we got cupcakes for dessert. It was all really good, but a lot of food. On our last trip we just got entrees. I got the salad again and it was awesome.

The pork is delicious. Salad is good too although the dressing was a little sweet IIRC. My kids LOVED the pork.

That is adorable. I like the way she thinks!!

For our July trip I was able to snag two lunch reservations and a dinner. After looking at the menu I promptly canceled them all.

Our 7 months out for our attempted DVC rental is Tuesday. I hope we have luck then because I don't currently have a back up plan! The room type we want is available, they just haven't found us points.

Um it's Disney. Unless you're talking the level of V&A, Monsieur Pauls, the Yachtsman, etc, I wouldn't worry. Especially for an early dinner.

I'll have to go dig up some threads. I'm really surprised.

Yes. I really liked it. DS liked the Alice in Wonderland play area & I liked the view of the monorail from the pool area.

I agree. Lunch was not that great at BOG. 

This is good to know. I was thinking of booking a lunch, but I don't think I will. We are only doing a couple dining reservations, and I don't want to waste one on not great.

We love BOG for lunch. And dinner too. Lunch is pricey, but its nice to have a different lunch then just burgers.

Ha yeah I just read some disboards about people thinking it is more for adults and I hate bothering others

I think I read the menu is more adventurous than average so some kids may not like it. I have not confirmed what is on the kids menu.
