Somewhere around 2 Daisy started waking up dry from naps and in the morning. She was also really interested in out potty and would go and hide to go number 2. Sh teamed ridiculously easy, even though she didn't like to give up the diaper for poop. Eww.
Clara was also waking up dry but had no interest. We also went to Disney right after she turned 2 and had no desire to balance lines and a freshly potty trained toddler. We had to do a Hail Mary training though around 3 for preschool. The program said the kids needed to be potty trained and I took it to heart. ( turns out half he class didn't) We did the (1)3 day potty training method. It was my version of the 3 day potty training method. A lot less looking for signs and a lot more clean up, and very strategic trips out of the house. I couldn't commit to the intensity of the 3 day but I gave up diapers cold turkey.
L moved to her new room (the Toddler room) at daycare in January; in February she started asking to use the potty at home, about a week after she'd started asking to use it at school. She's now fully trained AT DAYCARE - she will only use the potty every once in a while at home, but they sent home all of her diapers last week because she even stays dry there for naps.
We're not pushing anything, but we encourage her to tell us when she has to use the potty regardless of if she's wearing underwear or diapers, and she knows that if she wants to wear underwear at home, she has to tell us when she has to go. She has a sticker chart in the bathroom, but is only mildly amused by it, lol. I thought she was going to start really picking it up at home because for a few mornings she was waking up and asking to use the potty (and peeing!) first thing, but then she got the flu and that disappeared. And she just started it again last week, but now I think she's getting a molar and it stopped again. Eh. It secretly drives me crazy, but I am forcing breeziness because I don't want to cause her any issues.
She's 28 months, btw, and we only have a potty insert, not a separate potty for her.
For all three, I had a little potty in the bathroom starting around 18 months. The girls were potty trained for pee at 2.5, for poo a few months later (which was not bad for Anna because she pooped twice a week, but not so good for Sophia, lol). Alex has peed on the potty once and he will be two tomorrow.
