I had training all day today so I didn't have to deal with students. Plus my psycho teaching partner is out today and tomorrow, so I don't need to hear her scream at the kids at all. However, I will be able to make psycho mad, because her expectations in the sub plans (especially considering I was out today, and that I have to pull my sped kiddos tomorrow) are totally unreasonable, so I'm changing the assignment due date and not telling her until after school tomorrow.
We got next years schedules and I'm thrilled! I'm not stuck with the psycho again (was stuck with her the past two years), and I get to add a section of math with a friend/teaching partner in addition to my LA classes.

Hugs kellikans, I hope the next few days pass quickly and bring you positive answers. FX cherryvalance. Wow awkwardpenguin, what a great update!! Yay, Mushe! So much luck to you! (((@bigredgum))) Great news thoseareradishes!! I'm sorry school was so hard today, King26. Congrats on a great schedule change grover!
My school day was also a complete disaster today. Thank God tomorrow is Friday. I have a lining check at 7:15 and then what should be a pretty normal day. I'm tired and heading to bed soon.
cherryvalance, Supposedly, I'm supposed to already dread the group of kids coming up next year. But one, the experiences I've had with some of that group at homework club don't cause me any concern. And two, with two strong co-teachers in all of my classes, I want to go into it with an open mind.

I have a love-hate relationship with hearing about next year's class before getting them, so I hear you. On one hand, it's nice to have a head's up of what strategies work/don't work, but if teaching has taught me anything, it's that kids are drastically different from class to class and year to year (minute to minute? Lol). I was at our middle school last week and they were already telling me about the 7th grade...and I teach 11th/12th.
