I am local and have a friend that lives about an hour away. She is graduating soon and I won't be able to attend her graduation or party, so I wanted to do something nice for her to celebrate. I was thinking about booking a nice dinner at one of the following for a double date with her and her boyfriend and me and my boyfriend to celebrate.
Yachtsman Steakhouse
California Grill
Narcoossee's
They all seem to be fairly similar in price, right? I thought the view from California Grill might be nice as we are meeting around 8pm, so we could catch fireworks after at the bar.

Personally, I'd check out the menus and decide which one suits my palate best. Both Narcoossees (you can step out onto the patio I believe) and California Grill have a view of Wishes. I've only eaten at California Grill, but I have heard nothing but good things about Narcoossees.

Out of the 3 you have mentioned I've eaten at the Yatchsman Steakhouse and California Grill. The Steakhouse is fine albeit a bit overpriced. I have no desire to ever eat at the California Grill again; I prefer a quieter dining experience and the past few times I have been for dinner the place has been overrun with kids.
My go to for celebrations is always Victoria and Alberts but that is typically not in most peoples price range.
Have you looked at Artists Point, Citricos or Jiko? They are all nice restaurants and have a nice variety on their menu.
Cali Grille or consider Bluezoo or Shulas. Yachtsman is a nice steakhouse but nothing more, plus very overpriced for what you get. I haven't been to Narcooseees or Citricos yet. Loved Flying Fish but it's currently closed.
I had an ADR for Narcosees for a birthday and they really, really messed it up. I was so disappointed with how much the service has dropped there. I loved the Yachtsman though!
I was really impressed with California grille. We also had an excellent dinner at Artist Pointe inside wilderness lodge. DH and I both agreed the steak was one of the best we've had. They also had a fruit and fig plate with fresh honey and honeycomb that was excellent.
Thanks ladies, I might reach out to her boyfriend and send some menus and see what he thinks she would like best. The menu and view at California Grill seem appealing to us, but I would not be happy to spend that amount of money and have it be super full of kids, I don't mind a few obviously since it is Disney.
I originally looked at V&A and really wanted to do it, but it is a bit out of budget right now.
I would also check out the menu of Artist Point in the WL. I love the food and wine, and the WL atmosphere is beautiful. No real view though. CG reviews have been spotty lately and can get loud.
