I went on a shopping spree at a store and ended up bringing 3 things back today. The sales assistant couldn't find one shirt on the receipt. It was the only receipt I had from the store so it was obvious it was put in my bag without being rung up. What would you have done? Pointed it out and given shirt back, taken store credit, or kept the shirt?

My thoughts exactly. It would just cause the theft rate to go up and prices to increase even if it wasn't your fault that they put it in the bag. You did the right thing.
