My houseguests were napping and fucking around, and I got to squirrel away and watch it anyway! (Huge kudos to HBO for dropping it on HBOGo at 6pm PST.)
Wasn't expecting Ramsey to kill Roose so early on in this season, or for Jon to be resurrected so soon!
When is someone going to clue in Davos that Melisandra had Stanis burn Shireen? Does he even know Stanis v. Bolton went down?
I loved Tyrion with the dragons, and the second dragon being like, "Me too dude! I also want my collar off."
There's always been a theory that Tyrion is a Targaryen because Mad King Aegon was really in to his mom and Tywin never liked Tyrion much. Personally, I think dragons are just smart. It would be too much if Tyrion and Jon were both half Targaryen.
So glad Ghost isn't dead. Now we need Ramsay to die I hope either Sansa or Theon does it.

Well, we do need three dragon riders. Why not Tyrion?
I think they had Ghost wake up and Jon come back at the same time to show that Jon wargs into Ghost when he dies. That hasn't been as much of a thing on the show.
Ramsay is so evil. I doubt that happens and plays out in the books. There are way more people around Winterfell, including a shit ton of Freys who are related to Walda. I also think most of the north thinks Ramsay is bananas and wouldn't ally with him. But my guess is they haven't really shown the unraveling of the north supporting roose in the show as well so it will instead unravel because of Ramsay being in charge. But it looks like he has some people on his side. The gift thing is fucked up if it's what I think it is, and who is doing the gifting. Its probably going to piss me off because the north loves the Starks, and hates the Boltons.
Just when you thought GOt couldn't get any ore appalling than burning a child, they find a way.
I think Shireen was still worse. With Wanda and the baby you just hear dogs barking/snarling, and a couple of cries, and it's done in seconds.
Shireen's death went on for so long, with her screaming, pleading, and begging her mother to save her, and the look of utter betrayal and sadness when she realizes both of them are there watching, followed by the devastation of her mother when she changes her mind and does try to get to her and his held back.

Ramsay is fucking crazy. Offing the ONE PERSON who has bought you legitimacy in the north after the running off the one person who can legitimize your holding of Winterfell is just stuuuuuuuuuuupid. No one in the north gives two fucks who the Lannister says is Roose's rightful heir. So what the fuck are you doing?
ETA: He should have just waited a few months and poisoned the baby over time. A legit heir is only a problem if they are alive when the current holder kicks the bucket.
ALSO I just remembered that Walder Frey is not a nice man and played a heavy part in getting Winterfell for the Boltons. And Frey gives no fucks. Ramsay's in danger, girl.

I think Davos knows. But like all the good guys, he's doing what he needs to for the greater good.
OMG, I can't even begin to care about the Iron Isles people. Some other Greyjoy killed the old Greyjoy, and now Kingsmoot. Meh.
It's almost insulting that they had Melisandre rez Jon right at the end. People, we knew it was coming. Not a mystery or cool reveal. Also, I am so glad Ghost didn't have to give his life to bring him back to life. Ghost for the Iron Throne.
Also! Tyrion may be a Targaryen?!!? The dragons were so into him!
Right? I was like, why are you dragging out this ending with dramatic music and everyone thinking the resurrection didn't work. Pssh, GOT, come really close, WE ALREADY KNEW THIS WAS HAPPENING DUM DUMS. All of that was unnecessary.
Jon mother fucking Snow. I don't care that I knew. Love it.
I cannot wait for Ramsey to go. It'll be Theon who does it, right?
I can't wait for him to go either but I think it won't be Theon. I think Theon makes it to the Iron Islands or something. Because in the books he's with Asha at the end of ADWD. Granted they are both prisoners of Stannis but I think he makes it home. Plus the Iron Islands suck outside of Asha so I think they need Theon there because people who watch the show know who Theon is. Sorry, her name is Yara in the show. Whatever.
I would guess Ramsay is killed by Jon Snow or Sansa. At the end of ADWD we have the stupid pink letter and I think the show is jacking with the timeline a bit and will still have a huge wilding/Jon Snow v Ramsay battle.

I would bet he does but at this point, what's he gonna do? Davos knows those walkers are not the one. Old boy is about surviving at this point.

I would bet large sums of money Walder Frey has some level of involvement in Ramsay's death, perhaps with some Tully involvement. Where's the damned Blackfish?
I mean Walder helped orchestrate the entire fucking Red Wedding all because Robb Stark backed out of marrying one of his daughters and he doesn't even like his offspring. And he did all of that to help put the Boltons at Winterfell.
Ramsay's gon' get it.
Unless Walder kicked the bucket at some point and I missed it. All these cantankerous old men are hard to keep up with.
In the books like all of the main northern houses are at Winterfell along with a bunch of Freys that Manderly is killing (but no one knows who is doing the killing), lol. So I kind of doubt Ramsay does anything this bold because there's a lot of intrigue and conspiracy floating around as well as a ton of people there who wouldn't look the other way at his insanity.
I will be very surprised if this is the end that Walda and Roose and the baby meet.

I don't really get Davos would ask Mel to bring him back. Who is Jon Snow to Davos? A fairly competent Lord Commander? Why does he care so much? and isn't he supposed to distrust Mel?
CEP will appreciate this line of the EW recap: "Enter Bernie Sparrow, who comes in to chat with Jaime and spout his usual rhetoric about how his impoverished followers are ready to rise up to overthrow the elite. "

Yeah, I still haven't been able to watch this scene.

Hey, I love Jon Snow as much as anyone, but people die all.the.time in this show, so what's so special about him, really? Besides the fan theories and adoration, he's just another fairly competent dead dude.

In the book, Tyrion is described to have hair so blonde it is almost white (where as Cersei and Jamie have golden hair). And, when he was born, he was rumored to be born with a tail (I'm assuming that is code for dragon/Targaryen).
I want to know more about Willis/Hodor and when he quit speaking!
