I have to be at the hospital at 8pm. I am 40 weeks and 2 days. They brought me in for an ultrasound today and they said that I have too much fluid and want him out.
I'm trying not to google and I said I didn't want details because she said that it was probably all fine but not a risk she wanted to take. I didnt want the nerves of knowing potential complications because he is coming either way.
They said because I'm not dilated or effaced at all that it may ultimately end in csection but I'm going to try and see what happens.

Good luck!
I was induced for high blood pressure at 38 weeks and was only a "finger tip" dilated, so less than 1 cm, and I still had a vaginal birth. It took forever, Sunday night to Wednesday morning, but I ended up with a very straightforward delivery.

Thinking good thoughts for you. I was not dilated at all when I was induced both times and even though my labor took forever, I did not have c sections.

Good luck! I was induced a few weeks early and only a finger tip, dilated. They started pitocin and then broke my water a few hours later and he was born vaginally 5 hours after the doctor broke my water. From start to finish, I think it was 10 hours (my first and only birth).

Yay! Good luck!
I went in with no dilation or anything (after three days of gel) and still ended up with a vaginal delivery. Sunday night until early Tuesday morning - but it wasn't too bad!
