I usually pay with my card and just get 5 cash back and give it to the bagger. But I know they only get paid in tips so I feel like 5 bucks is a little low. H says people tip all day so our 5$ adds up for them. BUT I think people are lame and usually tip low. So I figured I'd see what everyone else had to say.
I don't let them load my car up so 2 dollars. I'm cheap like that but only spend 50$ for two weeks. When I pick up random items through the weeks I do self check out and do not tip.
When you shop at the commissary how much do you usually tip the bagger? I was just wondering what the standard usually is.
It's been a while since I shopped at the commissary, but I usually tipped about .25/plastic bag or /.50 per fabric reusable bag. Ish. It usually ended up being somewhere in the range of $3-5 for a week's groceries for two.
But, I don't use the commissary here. Costco and Walmart are each 2 miles from my front door. The commissary is 10+ miles, and much of that thru crappy, crappy, unpredictable traffic (so it can take 15 minutes to get home, or 60, no knowing until I'm in the middle of it).
