38 week appointment today.  I'm guessing they'll do a cervical check, since I haven't had one yet, and I'm SO anxious to see if anything's going on.

I'm going crazy being at home. I think I'm going to go into my clinic to introduce my staff to the baby. I also need to meet my new receptionist.

I can't get over how sweet this baby is. He smiles and smiles which I know is unusual for an infant but he is just constantly smiling. I love him so much.

I think maybe I'll just stay in bed and not go to work today. That would probably be ok, right?

I'm so happy to be home. DS is back to his normal sleep routine. It was an exhausting weekend of early wake ups.

Running so late this morning. MH is traveling for work and I have to work late all week. I have been running around cleaning and prepping for my mom to come put DS to sleep tonight, and DS was so clingy this morning. He wanted me to walk him to school with our nanny, and I felt awful saying no. I've been back at work full time almost 2 months (after 2.5 years of working 3 days), and today is the first time I regret it and feel like a bad mommy

Seriously. Guys. I was supposed to leave 6 minutes ago and all I've done is put on pants and brush my teeth. I'm not even wearing a bra yet. Ughhhhh.

I need a day off to recover from the long weekend. It was a good one, but I am dragging today.

Between weeding the big flower bed in the front yard and pilates yesterday my legs are killing me today. I probably should have shaved my legs this morning, but bending over to do it was not happening this morning.

I am so not jazzed about being back at work after a mostly rainy 4 day weekend.

I woke up last night two hours after I went to sleep feeling SO sick to my stomach. I was sure I was going to throw up. But I didn't. I feel mostly ok this morning, just slightly off. I'm sure it had NOTHING to do with the two cinnamon buns, 2 pieces of key lime pie, and 1 piece of apple pie I ate yesterday

I'm stressed out and sad and I just might stab my husband over the way he's scrambling eggs. Oh my god. He's using a bowl that's too small, and the delicate way he's holding the fork, elbow out, all LOOKIT ME MAKING BREAKFAST WOWWW. I need to go out soon or I'll smother him

DH was up with an upset stomach this morning and woke me up. I've been up for hours and I'm super tired now. Sucks because I'm taking DD to the zoo over an hour away and we have a couple going with us, so I can't just cancel.

I am challenging someone who has a hold on the date I want for our wedding. I hope I get it. We decided to go with a bigger venue because we can afford it, it is less stress, and it made us happier at the end of the day. I'm so excited! It is a stunning space. If we don't get our date, Ill be a bit sad but hopefully, I can get another October date.

It's only Tuesday and I already hate work. Omg. My manager drives me insane.

I've been sitting in front of an office for 20 minutes because I really need to turn some paperwork in and they were supposed to open at 830. The sign on the door even says so, yet the lady isn't here and I'm getting irritated.

ETA: I got ahold of a mutual friend who told me that the lady got shitty with her and said she works at 9 now. That's fine but you need to update your office hours sign then because listing one set of hours and working a different set is ridiculous.

We got an email yesterday that our company has decided to observe casual Friday's every day over the summer, which I am thrilled about. They have also changed how they put together the early close Friday schedule. Last summer, there had to be one person from every senior/junior team that was in the office till close (4:30/5), so basically you stayed every other Friday. This year they decided just 2 people for every decision, so I will only have to be here till close 2 Friday's for the rest of the summer - and one of those is the Friday I am back after being gone for 2 weeks, every other Friday I am done by 1. Yay summer.

It was one of our top venue choices as well but my mom didn't like it because she said no one would like having to find parking downtown and quote on quote "can you imagine all your aunties having to walk around the city in their saris and heels" lol okay mom.

I'm so glad it's a short week but it's still going to be nuts. B has recital dress rehearsal tomorrow, C has OT Thursday, Friday is Recital show #1, Saturday is recital show #2, Sunday B has auditions for theater camp ( this ought to be interesting) and a birthday party for my cousins kid. Most of which I have to do alone because H's work is still on mandatory over time.

Oh and we have to miss C's end of year show at school because it's Friday afternoon

I am a little concerned about this too but most of my friends live downtown and my brother works near there so he knows where to go. I hope it'll help!

We had both kids' birthday parties this weekend, so I feel like I need a long weekend to recover from my long weekend.

Also, today is Ethan's 6th birthday. How did this happen? That one is hitting me harder than the baby turning 1. There is just no baby left in a 6 year old first grader.

Bernadine, I can't believe you're 38 weeks already! I'm so excited for you!

We survived camping and avoided most of the rainy part of Saturday by heading to SIL's farm to help with wedding prep (she's getting married there on Friday). She and her FI just moved there last month and it's a really beautiful property. Bonus: since she and her FI are both coming from established households, they were long cardio machines and had two treadmills so they're giving us one! They'll bring it up to us after we move next month. Yay!

Also, my little lady is graduating from kindergarten tomorrow and I just started feeling weepy about it. My baby isn't really a baby anymore She wants to come home after the lunch (which is allowed) but I'll still have to go back to work. I think I'll just bring her with me.

Such a great long weekend. Lots of timing just hanging out as a family. H worked really hard on the yard adn it's coming together nicely! We let Morgan pick out flowers for her garden (she helped H make it last summer) and of course all she wanted was pink & purple LOL. H likes working in the yard and I don't so we have a good system in place - meaning he does the majority of the work and I enjoy it after he's done

I'm super not motivated to work today, I have a good amount of stuff I want to accomplish but just can't get motivated today. It's not helping that a bunch of people are out today so it's really quiet around here.
