Has anyone known a girl who did the BBB experience when they were closer to the cut off age? Our first/last Disney drip, DD was not quite 7 and we didn't do BBB even thought it probably would have been the perfect age. We did CRT and saw all the girls coming out of BBB. She wasn't super upset, but I know she would have liked it.
I will admit I didn't particularly like the shellacked bun that most girls had and the little girls with all the make-up looked a little, hmm, off. But I know it is more about the fantasy of the experience.
Our next trip she will probably be 10 (maybe 10 1/2). I know the cut off age is 12, so she could still do it. I just wonder if she will seem like the "odd" girl out, surrounded by 3 and 4 year olds. However, I also wonder if it would be more fun since she knows what a special/unique experience it is...and if we don't take advantage of it while she is still under 12 she might be disappointed forever (ha, mom guilt).
Obviously, she might not be interested by the time we go to WDW again, but if she is, would it be worth it at her age?
My daughter is very into clothes, fashion, etc. so I think from that standpoint, she would like a makeover.

Have you asked her if she wants to do it? My DD would not have wanted to do it at the age of 10, plus she saw from the last time we went that all the girls in BBB were very young.

littlemermaid , no, not yet. The next trip will be over a year away so I think it's too soon to even bring it up. I'm just trying to think of everything we might want to fit in. I certainly wouldn't force her to do it if she says she doesn't want to.
But, if she is interested I wonder if I should try to talk her out of it. After I posted my question, I looked on TripAdvisor and there were a couple reviews from parents of 9 and 10 year olds who said their daughters really liked it. It looks like there are non-princess hair styles to choose from - pink, blue hair, etc. I just wanted to see if anyone had a real life experience.
ilikedonuts, thanks for the suggestion. I did an image search of BBB and it looks like they had more options for older girls when they first opened. There was one pic of a girl about 10 with a look that looked almost punk - multi colored spiked hair sticking up all over her head. I think that's something DD would like at 10, but I don't see anything similar in recent pictures.
@chloe77, I think that is a good idea. Never hurts to book it and then cancel. I'm not even 100% sure when we are going yet. H and I are talking about a couple different dates. I'm not trying to be critical. I understand for a really little girl, it is much more about the experience than the final look. For an older girl, I think both are important.
