Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach

Our DVC rental came through so our 2017 trip is official. Now starting to sketch out our days. Anyone been to both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach? Which one do you prefer. My DD (will be almost 9 at the time) loves water parks so we definitely want to hit at least one of them this trip.

It has been a while since we have been to Blizzard Beach, but from what I can remember, I would say Typhoon Lagoon. I felt like there was a ton of different things that you could do there and it was divided up nicely with areas where you could find shade easily. We really enjoyed our day there and if we went back and had to choose again, I would vote for typhoon lagoon

That is good to know. We are going last week of March.

Since that week is a spring break week, I think you should be ok, I think whatever one was closed opened mid March this year,

My 8 year old prefers Blizzard Beach. He likes the lazy river and slides better there, plus the big kid area.

That said, Typhoon Lagoon is really unique. The wave pool is intense. There's a cool snorkel experience where you get to swim across a cove full of fishes and little sharks. Crush'n Gusher is a fun set of slides as well.

Admission for one day will get you into both parks. If you really want to do both, it's cheaper to buy a season pass than it is two single day tickets.

Get there early for a chance to open the parks. It's a cool experience. My son was picked to open both when we were there for spring break
