That looks AMAZING! I didn't know you had to research trips like this so far in advance, LOL. Does the island come with staff, food, that sort of thing?

They tout it as a "Robinson Crusoe" island, so it's definitely not full-service. You take your own meats, veggies and liquor, but the kitchen is stocked with pasta, condiments, flour and baking supplies, drinking water, paper towels and garbage bags, etc.
No staff there with you (we'll be alllll alooooone!), but the owners come pick you up on the mainland and drop you off and show you around, and there's a phone on the island so you can call if you need anything & reliable wifi. There's a TV and DVDs in case of bad weather, and kayaks and a pedal boat and stuff.
It's totally up our alley. There are three separate bedrooms with queen beds, so we've tossed around the idea of inviting another couple or two, but ... meh.
It's totally weird for me to invite myself, right?!!? Just kidding.
Where do you get the food to bring to the island? Like I assume you land somewhere in Belize, go shopping, and then bring that stuff with you on the...sea plane? Boat?
Just a single island, owned by a guy! Logistics are mostly explained in the link.
So cool! I just checked out the link. I want to be Fred in my next lifetime!
I would definitely go alone. After having another baby, the quiet time spent with just your H will be perfect. I was going to say that it would have to be the perfect couple to share the island, but no. Alone is the only way I'd go (& I'm a pretty solid extrovert!)
Ok, this is so amazing. I just showed DH, this is totally something worth doing. I can't tell from the photos - is there actual beach space?
I don't think there is in the photos, but Fred's message today said they're just finishing up a few weeks of improvements including adding a beach space!
Wow, that is amazing, that would be the only other thing I would want (we have kids). I would imagine the snorkelling would be amazing.

God, I always threaten my family that I'm going to run away to my own private island if they don't cut the shit. And you actually get to do that, for real.
I am booking this for June 2018! My dd will be graduating high school that month and hopefully we won't have killed each other by that point. Lol. That alone is worth an island celebration with her closest friends and me.
