Dd slept like shit last night. She finally just fell asleep after nursing for an hour and 15 minutes. I put er in the rnp....and now she's wide awake. Omg. Idk how I'm going to get through the day. I'm exhausted.
BF flew to Dallas yesterday for two weeks to start his new job, eek! He sprayed the deck and backyard with some mosquito/bug stuff yesterday and I think it drove some things inside because there was a spider in the shower this morning and a FUCKING GIANT palmetto bug in the dining room. Neither survived meeting me, RIP. Sorry not sorry.
I'm obsessed with my new watch. The navy/white strap will be delivered today, but I don't hate the navy/pink actually:
I got it from Amazon for 50% off retail. It doesn't seem to be fake, but even if it is...meh.
Big hugs! I know you don't want to hear this right now and I will fully take on your wrath-but it does get better. Do you have anyone who can come by and give you s break? Maybe watch the baby for an hour or so after she nurses while you nap?

I am telling myself that, and it helps. No one is free today, but I just gave her a pacifier, and ::knock on wood:: she's back asleep.
I am going to see Guided by Voices tonight with my BFF from high school. I bought the tickets 2 months ago and now I'm feeling all nervous about going. I don't know why. Maybe nervous isn't a good word-more like pre-show anxiety? I know I'll get there and have a great time-plus it's so hard to get together with this friend due to our schedules so I can't back out. Wahhh. Tell me to stfu and enjoy a kid free night out.

@bernadine nap when the baby does. It's advice I didn't follow but should have. Newborn exhaustion is horrible.
I am away with my girlfriends and definitely drank a bit too much last night and then slept like crap. I'm not looking forward to the 3.5 hour drive home

We had to take J to the ER Friday night because he was having trouble breathing. They diagnosed and treated him for croup. He started feeling better yesterday and seems to be in good shape this morning. I signed us up for another mommy and me swim session that starts today. I can't decide if I should take him or not. The pedi doesn't open for another 30mins so ill call and ask them what they suggest. I just don't want him to get sick again.

OMG my cat woke me up at 3:30 this morning scratching the standing fan WTF? I could not fall back asleep.
I have an inch long gouge by my ankle bone from shaving. I don't know how I managed that but it hurts like a MF. It also seems to be some sort of target for my kids who tend to step all over my feet/legs when they are near me
I feel like the hem is backwards on my shirt today- the front of it is longer and just seems shaped more like what you usually on the back of a shirt. I checked the tag twice after I put it on.
Vacation starts Thursday! We're taking the autotrain to FL to visit my ILs, and spend a couple of days in Cape Canaveral. I'm looking forward to it, but I'm already feeling stressed about being packed into my ILs condo. MIL is a very chatty extrovert, and I need space, damn it.
I'm WAH today and I know I really should be productive during my lunch hour but all I want to do is to take a nap. DH and I stayed up too late last night catching up on our DVR show, Grimm, and now I'm paying for getting up by 6 a.m. to start working. All in and all I'm excited as the kids have their first karate lesson tonight.

Remember that time I put our rings, our honeymoon flights, our invitations, and all the decorations on the same credit card, all during the same statement period?
I've got some kind of itchy rash on my body. In weird places- like in the crook of my elbow. In between my pinky and ring finger. In my cleavage. Back of my knee. I have no idea what it could be but I'm uncomfortable and don't know what to take- can't do Benadryl it makes me too sleepy. Bleh
My 7 year old has taken to calling her non-existent breasts her "chestnuts". As in, "Mom, help me with my swimsuit so my chestnuts don't show." CRACKS ME UP.

Just got done working out. Now cooling off before I blow dry my hair. Carter has his 7 year old wellness check this afternoon so I think I may take them to chick-fil-a before hand. My husband is out of town this week, but comes back Wednesday. On Friday we leave for the Outerbanks and I can't wait!!
I had a fun weekend, but I am tiiiired. I slept like crap last night, I was so hot.
I cannot find bedding that I like anywhere. And I also can't decide if we want to go the comforter route or the duvet route and get a down insert. I'm so terrible at making decisions.

Sitting in the waiting room at the dealership getting an oil change for my Jeep. It's only due for the oil change and a tire rotation, but I'm always anxious that they're going to come out and tell me all this expensive stuff it needs. I really only have to pay for the tire rotation because the dealership offers free oil changes for life since I bought the Jeep here. Fingers crossed 😝
My H bought an RV. I tried my best to discourage him while also supporting him. It's like a toy hauler type thing. The funniest thing is through the entire process he had friends and the various dealerships he went to saying, "You should bring your wife out to see it!" and he was like, "No, she's not interested." Damn straight! LOL. I told him I just wanted to make sure he was buying it because it's HIS hobby, not OUR hobby. I'm a hotel girl. I don't like going to the bathroom in structures without foundations.
Anyway. He picked it up last week and I still haven't seen it. I will EVENTUALLY. I'm not being a jerk about it. I do think this was all rather rushed coming from someone who has never stayed in or towed, well, anything, but hey. I have my own not-inexpensive hobby so I really shouldn't discourage his interests.

Did you use a new sunblock or lotion this weekend? Or just heat rash? It seems like something related to not a lot of airflow, yeno?

It must have been National No Sleep Night for the kids because my DD was up ALL NIGHT LONG. At 3:00 I finally gave up and went into the living room with her so she could play. Ugh.
My one saving grace is I have today off to take her to her 4-month checkup so at least I don't have to work.

No new products on the body. And yeah that occurred to me, but it doesn't seem to be spreading and I can't figure out what it might be. I should squirt some breastmilk on it. Lol

I can't find bedding either. I'm looking for a quilt.

Oh, also, I'm internally raging at a bunch of my H's friends. He's getting a vasectomy at the end of this month. Obviously he's told a few of his coworkers about it, and I guess almost every single one got indignant on his behalf and asked "why can't your wife just go on birth control? Why do YOU have to get snipped?" I went OFF when he told me that last night. Because I don't do well on hormonal birth control. Because I'm not the only one who should be responsible for preventing pregnancy. Oh, and not to mention I pushed two fucking humans out of my vagina, so the LEAST he can do is have an outpatient surgery.
All of which he told them, obviously, but I'm so annoyed at the sexism there.
And don't even get me started if he needs to leave early because it's his turn to get a sick kid. That could be its own post.
My coffee is making my mouth weirdly dry this morning, it's annoying.
L slept all night last night! Of course I slept in her bed with her, but I am glad she likes/has settled into her new bed. The next thing we'll work on is her sleeping by herself.
The weekend was so busy, but so fun. I was home alone for many hours on Saturday, so I cleaned our place from top to bottom, did a bunch of laundry, bagged L's clothes/washed her bedding/fixed up her room, and got buffalo chicken going in the crock pot. One of my best and oldest friends came over around 5, and we ate and drank and talked and she slept over, and it was the BEST time. Sunday morning she dropped me off at my SIL's, and we went immediately up to H's Uncle's house for a BBQ/birthday party, and L had the time of her life in the pool and in the basement recording studio.
Now I'm trying to figure out next weekend. I'm thinking we might go down the shore for the day on Saturday, and finally take L on a dolphin watch.

We stayed up watching another episode of OINTB, then when I thought I was going to go to sleep we ended up having sex, and I made a comment about not having to set an alarm because I WFH today and my husband said "you have two kids who will wake up." Well of course he must have jinxed us because the baby was awake screaming at 5:30. Now he's back to sleep after loudly playing for an hour and a half, husband is still sleeping, and J hasn't woken up yet. I logged in to my work so I could leave early. I'm exhausted.
