Why must every appraisal start with remeasuring the house? If you have to be licensed to be an appraiser, why can't you take the last person's appraisal measurements and allow for a discounted appraisal of current value? Ugh. I hate that I'm paying for this.

Work's been nuts, so we'll see if it lets up this afternoon (fingers crossed!).

I have been casually dating a guy who is moving away permanently this fall. I can't relocate. He has no say in staying or going, so come this fall things WILL end. He has been on a 2 week trip for work, and we agreed this trip would be a good time to make a break and go separate ways. So this same guy, who wanted to avoid feelings developing further, has emailed me consistently since getting to the airport to depart. smh. After a long email discussion, he confessed that not dating is not going to work for him. (Because I am fucking awesome). I said we could revisit it and iron out the finer details when he returns. He flies in this Saturday at 2am. His first request was to get together Monday for dinner and to talk about things. Then it became Sunday night, AND Monday. Last night he emailed to ask if I would mind if he dropped in after he landed at 2am on Saturday. But he still wants to keep Sunday and Monday on the books, too. LOLOLOL.  Sounds like someone caught some feelings going through all those airports.

Because you can't rely on the last dillhole to have measured properly.  Sorry it's such a pain in the ass.

Because you can't rely on the last dillhole to have measured properly.  Sorry it's such a pain in the ass.

Even better, this lady did one previously on this house so she didn't measure the inside, just exterior. So she doesn't trust herself previously :-P

Last post about my trip...since I leave tomorrow.

I have paid for all my hotels except for one. It didn't give me the option to prepay, which is weird but, whatever. I get an email today from the property and it turns out they don't accept cards at all. I don't really want to travel around for 4 days with a bunch of cash, and I don't want to have to rely on a random ATM in the Scottish highlands for cash.

So I am annoyed. Thoughts? Is this normal?

I have never heard of that, and I've stayed at some weird places. Is it too late to find another option? I mean, it's not like you're out anything, right? 

Technically? I dunno, I used a card to "hold" the reservation, and there is a cancellation fee, so I suppose they could charge it, which is all the more annoying, because you can charge that, but not the stay? LOL. I could find other accommodations for the same price point through air bnb, but I think I would have to call the hotel to verify re: the cancellation...but it is an international number, so I don't know how much that would cost. 

I know, I am kind of being a baby, lol

Yes I have stayed at some places overseas that are cash only. I don't know the atm situation in Scotland though, can you email and ask them? I would assume you would have access to an atm though and I just pull out the cash the night before I check out. The only time I've had problems with ATMs was in Cameroon where every time I took money out on my bank register it said I took out double the amount, but usaa easily refunded me. Other than that I've had no problems with random foreign ATMs all over. Have a good trip!
