@natariru, omg. Did he notice you as well?
The interview went really, really well. But I got the feeling that I didn't get the job. Like maybe there was another candidate she liked more. I really wanted and needed this job so that sucks. Just based on stuff she said and the vibe, it was weird. But we connected and I answered well and thoughtfully. She's from South Africa so we talked about it for a bit. I would love to work for her. She seems like she would be a great boss. Maybe one day!

socratic - I bought it from Target. I will say that my only hangup, is that it doesn't have ties on the inside to keep the corners together. Having slept in it for a night, I also would love for it to be a touch softer.
Our last bedding was from Crate and Barrel, which also didn't have corner ties. My duvet cover from West Elm for the guest bedroom has them and it helps keep the pieces together.
Lol at you DD @246baje. Now DD has this Frozen monstrosity of a hoodie that she picked out. It is the worst. She can't wait until it is cold enough to wear.
Lol! That's too funny, both my DH and I work from home, too . On average, he is usually dressed better than me in the house . Save
Ah! No one else I know has this type of dynamic! It's GREAT since our boys are really young so I feel like the parenting gets spread around pretty equally for the most part. I just don't want to hang out with him on weekends, haha. By the time Friday hits, I'm like, "ehhh I don't have anything new to say to you."
We work on separate floors and have lunch together. But for the most part stay out of each other's way.
LOL same!!
I still want to hang out with him on weekends, though. #pressed Save
Can I just say that carpool lanes are the most ridiculous damn things. This woman clearly sees all of these fucking cars lined up, and she going to try to slide her way into the fucking parking lot. No bitch, headd your ass onto the back. Thank God the teacher came out and was looking and crossing off names, and she politely pointed her finger to the back of the fucking line.
not only that, but KinderB gets out of school at 3 o'clock. I have to be in line at 2:35 or 2:40 40 if I want to get a good spot and not be all the way in the back.
I got here today at 2:35 and I am like 20th in line.
As a teacher, the ones that drive me crazy are the moms in their yoga pants who stand in the middle of the fucking parking lot shooting the shit.
dreamcrisp1 - You cut your hair?! Pics! FX about the interview.
Hi! Nothing much going on here. H is back at school so everything is just really hectic. I have been watching Bride & Prejudice on repeat, I am slightly obsessed. I used to love this movie in my teens and kind of forgot about it then saw it was on Netflix a few days ago and yep. I just love the music and the colours. Also that it allows me to geek out and watch a Bollywood style movie that H is also able to watch/understand (but alas he hates it). lol

Omg I watched this on the weekend!!!!! Lol.
And I did! I cut it to just below my shoulders! It was mid waist before so it's a huge change.
P.s. I was walking past cactus club today and we need to go for lunch soon!

LOL the movie is so cheesy but I just love it so much. The way Mr Darcy looks at Lalita throughout the movie just makes my day. I feel like a teenybopper again.
Yeah, your hair was super long below! I bet the change looks awesome. And yes to lunch soon!

Me too. I love that movie. I laugh hysterically.
Change feels good. It's not as heavy which is nice and so healthy!
Diner en Blanc in Atlanta was almost entirely black with the music being geared toward the audience. It was rather interesting to see how white people, some of whom presumably did not expect to be the vast minority, behaved in that setting. I felt like part party-goer, part fake cultural anthropologist lol.
I did my swim lesson! While I was sitting there waiting for the trainer, I got nervous lol.
But I think it went really well. This was just a complimentary session, so I think I'm going to get a package of 6 personal training sessions. We just worked on kicks and my stroke and she said I improved a lot by the end. We didn't even get to how breath properly, so I think I need another session or 2 to get that down to be able to really swim laps properly on my own.
The only thing I'm trying to figure out is the best plan for my hair. I cowashed afterwards but really didn't detangle in the shower like I do at home. So then in the locker room I put leave in conditioner in and then used my wide tooth comb. I didn't want to bring all my oil along, so I guess I'll just keep it simple on the days that I swim.
Also, my swim cap was such a reminder about how HUGE my head is It was sliding off by the time I got out the pool. My head is seriously so big!

be careful with cowashing only after being in the pool. you want to clarify it every time, or else the chlorine will mess you up.
I need to get back in the pool.
omg thanks for reminding me about this! I remember I used to do this when I was younger and taking swimming lessons. Any specific product recs?

I use kinky curly come clean or trader joe's tea tree tingle shampoo on myself and DD. there's also a JBCO shampoo from Shea moisture that gets really good reviews.
I also try to make sure I rinse our hair and saturate it with conditioner, whether or not I use a swim cap, because it drastically limits the amount of chlorine your hair is able to soak up!
