Why are they calling it (first home game of the season) a "black out" and half of these motherfucking students here painted their faces black?! Even the two black kids did it!!!! Lawd help me Jesus! And my stank ass SIL is here too, so that's not helping my attitude

This seems common lately. I know there were a few schools near-ish by that did it. The predominantly white school played their rivals, a predominantly black school and the white kids wore black face. Administrators stated it wasn't racist. I believe they said something like it was just school spirit. They could have picked any other color in the rainbow.

But, their parents/friends parents let them go out like that. Appalling.

My freaking phone died so I only got a pic of their "spirit wear" Black Out tee shirts and of course they were playing an all black team. I wrote an email to the superintendent and copied the emails for three news stations. I know they won't do shit, but at a minimum, you're going to hear my mouth about it!!!

This is the shit that keeps me up at night worrying about dd's future schools and she's only 17 months. This would definitely happen in the suburban and rural districts around here. The fucking staff would probably participate too. I hope one of the news stations picks up your email. Our local stations love putting the schools on blast.

I'm curious to hear how they're handling it but I have a very hard time believing they didn't know about this before the game.  Don't teams/school organizations have to clear spirit themes with the administration BEFORE hand?  At least that's been my experience with every school I've been involved with as a student, teacher, or (now) parent.
