The reality is a seat move is a simple way to make everyone happy and doesn't require an amendment to the constitution. Hell, in my classes with assigned seating, I don't even make a kid give me a reason if they request a seat move. I just move them. WTF, teacher people.
I can't fathom why a teacher wouldn't simply move the kids first, ask questions later, even if later is right after.
Yeah, I don't get this. It's not like she is asking to sit down with the principal and the bully's parents and demand an apology / course of action. It's a seat move. WTF.

At minimum, it gets two kids who probably won't get along in the best of circumstances from annoying the piss out of each other all day long.

thank god you're here. i'm practically crying with relief.
my 5th grade teacher was awesome in many many ways, but her just moving my seat (and actually moving all the seats so i wasn't singled out as the freak--i was already taller than everyone else, i didn't need to be anti-social too) made an enormous, immediate difference in the quality of my life and my work.
