For those that bought the magiclips at Costco, was that this year or only last year? Wondering if DD is aging out of them or if it's worth keeping an eye out at Costco.
I bought them this year. $20 for 8 dolls, I think.
yikes $35 for 7 dolls seems steep ;( ktw said $20 for 8 at Costco. i'll see if i can get someone to costco to look for them. thanks!!
Yes, I had bought them for a friend's kid's bday for $35 on Amazon before I saw them at Costco. I figured $20 for 8 was a good deal, so got DD a set for Christmas.
Yes there is a castle. It is priced crazy on Amazon, but I am sure you can find it other places. And apparently it comes with other additional pieces to make it even bigger and more annoying.
Magiclips and Glitter Gliders were discontinued when Disney moved to Hasbro, we think, which is why it's expensive. DD uses them in her regular dollhouse as well as alone. Actually, she spends more time making dresses for them out of play doh than anything. They're pretty versatile and can be used in anything, gigem ! I'm a walking advertisement for them because they have gotten more use at my house than any other toy, far and away.
Ahh. No wonder I can't find them anymore. Yes, that is all the YouTube videos, making play doh dresses for the dolls. DD also tries to use her barbie sized dolls in the doll house too. They become the parents. I think she got this from YouTube as well. LOL
Cute, Dotty. Do you know if you can wash off the colors and re-do them? I can't tell from the product description. It says they're reusable, but I can't tell if they mean you can actually color them more than once. Thanks!
Are you happy with them? Some of the amazon reviews are not so good but sometimes reviewers seem extra fussy when it comes to kids things.
I bought them in a really reputable local shop. She said they are one of her most popular kid items and people love them. She has kept them in stock for years because she hears nothing h but good about them.
Our big main gift this year is going to be a play kitchen for both boys (bought the M&D charcoal one) and a few accessories for it. The rest of the presents will be clothes and books and some cheap stocking stuffers. ETA:the boys are 2 and 4.
I'm struggling with this too. Her birthday is in November, and then Christmas. She's turning 1, she doesn't really have "wants" yet, or if she does, they're for things like the cardboard box from a tube of toothpaste (which I let her take to daycare this morning).
I think for her birthday she's getting a Patagonia down sweater since she needs a winter car seat coat anyway, and matching hat and mittens. For Christmas, maybe some next size clothes and board books. MIL got her a snow suit.
