Also speaking of jobs in moving to a different office. APPARENTLY, the woman training me didn't want to share hours with me. I'll be touring the new office today so....fingers crossed

Remember when MMM imploded over the blue eyes comment? This week I came across a comment in a similar vein on a very small private board of professional colleagues. Commentor was white male, board is 90% white males, everyone is patting him on the back for such a humorous comment. I sent the poster a message pointing out why his comment was not only hurtful to women but also racist at the same time. Now the dude is pissed because he's obviously not a racist because XYZ noble reasons. and because ninety nine percent of the people agreed with him and thought he was noble too.

I get it now. I get why you are all exhausted. I tried to block all that racist stuff from my past and just let comments roll off and ignore them on online message boards but I expected more from my professional colleagues. I tried to be the one percent dissenting voice and it made for an exhausting morning.

sent I'm sorry that happened. But don't get discouraged. Eventually someone will hear you. And if they don't, at least you know where they stand and you adjust yourself accordingly. I hope you're doing well otherwise.

My random: One of my aunts died last Christmas and another died in April. I want to sit and mourn their absence but I'm trying to keep it together for my mom. She's the youngest and a sensitive soul. If she can make it through the holiday sober and with a smile, my full of cheap wine ass can keep it together too. But if one of my cousins starts at dinner , I'm giving myself permission to act up
