If the AP is also fake news then what is real? This is a legit question. Because I read ALL news, even the sources that I roll my eyes through. But I try to use the most impartial sources when I am trying to defend an argument. I usually use AP and NPR. But now those are considered liberal mainstream media. So is it only real news if it comes from Fox News and Brietbart?
Its definitely a legit question, and this is a result of trump delegitimizing the media. If no one believes legit reporting, its so much easier for him to have power and its fucking terrifying.
July 27, 2016: In a move without precedent in American history, Trump held a press conference in which he publicly urged Putinâs espionage services to help sabotage the Clinton campaign and put help Trump in the White House.
July 31, 2016: Following a series of contradictory statements about the nature of his connections with Putin â at different times, Trump said he âgot to know him very well,â followed by, âI donât know who Putin isâ â the Republican candidate was asked to clarify. Trump responded, âI had â no, I â look. What do you call a relationship?â
July 31, 2016: In the same interview, Trump conceded that people on his team may have weakened the Republican platform to be more in line with Putinâs wishes.
(I know we all know this, but it's worth a reminder of the time frame.)
This part, however, I did not remember:
November 23, 2016: McClatchy reported that Trump had spoken directly with Putin after the U.S. election more than heâd talked to any other foreign leader.

Also, this:
November 10, 2016: Despite denials from Trump campaign officials, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said âthere were contactsâ between the Russian government and Trumpâs team before the U.S. presidential election. Further contradicting the Republican campaignâs claims, Ryabkov added that âquite a fewâ members of Trumpâs team âhave been staying in touch with Russian representativesâ ahead of the American election.
And all of this is only what has been publicly reported in the press.
Yep, they think this is just dems being sore losers... except no. No one would be freaking the fuck out if it was Jeb, or Romney, or maybe even Cruz (no, id still freak out a little). THIS ISNT ABOUT POLICY. It was never about policy. This is about having a facist dictator as our president who is handing the world over to putin, while making life very very difficult domestically for a LOT of people.
Right! I wouldn't be happy with Cruz as president. But I wouldn't necessary feel like I need to build a fall out shelter.
I would be concerned about human rights definitely. And it would be a long 4-8 years. But I would feel like there might actually be a world after his presidency.
A shitty shitty world. But that's more than I'm thinking we may end up with currently.
I mean, we would still need one for our uteri, though.

I'm not gonna lie...I mean, I know it's not necessarily his fault that he didn't know what he didn't know, but I'm having a hard time believing anything that comes out of his mouth or his keyboard.

Wow. Has this ever happened before (Electors demanding intel)?
I am going to go out on a limb and say this is unprecedented.
But let's be clear. It's 9 Democratic electors and one Republican, Chris Siprun, who was the guy who said a week or two ago that he's going to cast his vote for Kasich. These are not new Republican electors suddenly sprouting a conscience. These are people with an agenda who see an opening.
My hope here is if whatever they have is enough to flip McConnell it's probably enough to flip some electors possibly enough to change the outcome. I don't necessarily care why they are given the info as long as they get it because if it is that big they deserve to know it before making their vote. If it doesn't change their vote so be it but if there is any chance it might have an impact they deserve to know whatever can be shared by the IC
