2 kids, a 2 and anot almost 7 year old. I'm tempted to put the 6 year old on a stroller. reasoning: she will be less tired and complain less, I won't have to keep track of her, maybe the 2yo would stay in her stroller if she saw dd1 in one. dd2 doesn't like the stroller
wwyd? we have a city mini so we could either rent another single or rent a double. it's probably going to be like 90 pounds of kid in a double.

Your reasons are exactly why we brought 2 strollers a few weeks ago. Dd1 is 7, dd2 is 3. It worked out great. When she wasn't using it held our stuff- sweatshirts, autograph books, snacks etc. if you have to travel by Disney bus avoid a double. They take up so much room.
We did Disney last year with a 2.5 and 6.5 year old. We had one single stroller. It worked fine, but for our trip in January with a now 3.5 and 7.5 year old, we are renting a double stroller.
The 7 year old can certainly walk, but he gets sleepy easy, and we like to stay out late, so the stroller will give him a place to rest/sleep. I suspect we will park the stroller for a couple of hours at a time while we tour the park.
I would probably just use a single. You can always rent another single at the park if you have an especially long day. I almost didn't bring a double with a 1 and 4 year old. The 4 year old used the stroller sometimes, mainly only going into and out of the park, but I doubt I would bring a double again if she was 1-2 years older. We didn't stay out late though, and she won't nap in a stroller anyways. My 1 year old usually hates a stroller but all the things to see/watch kept him in it a lot longer than I thought he would.
I'd rent a double City mini if you can. With an older kids the times you'll nee dit most will be where you can't take a park rental - like walking back to the hotel or bus. My 8 year old hopped in the double a few times on our trip to disneyland a few weeks ago. Mostly at night to get back to the room.

I'd get a double and make it easy. I'm sure the older one will need a break a time or two. Last week we used a BOB double and it was perfect. The twins got the seats and my almost 6 year old sat on the front point. She didn't use it all the time, but enough that I was glad we could fit her on the stroller.
I vote for just renting the double......only one stroller to fold, if you need to move quickly in crowds the kids are both contained, they fold up well and can get on all buses and monorails, you will only have one to track down when Disney moves your stroller everywhere.....
I have a 4 and 6 year old and the double stroller was the best thing I did. We walked 10+ miles for 7 days in a row, and the crowds were heavy most days, so it was so helpful to know I had both kids accounted for and could move quickly!! Not to mention the storage for all the garbage we bought and the 20 million bottles of water we packed in.
How many adults are going? We had 4 adults last time we went, so we found that two single strollers was nice because we could leave one if we didn't need it for DD1 (4.5 at the time.) We could also split them up more easily, and it was easy to push through the crowds.
If it's just two adults I think a double stroller would be easier though.
We had a stroller for our nearly 7 yo last month. He was so much happier and less exhausted (and appreciated a quiet place to which to escape sometimes)
