Sci-Fi or Fantasmic Package?

I think I know the answer to this but I need convincing either way.

We have one HS day - MLK day, so probably busy. Our favorite nighttime show is Fantasmic. I have an ADR for Sci-Fi and my plan was to try and get Fantasmic as a 4th FP. I'm super excited for the ADR because I think we will love the theming.

Last year, someone randomly handed us dining passes for Fantasmic as we were walking up to the show and the seats were amazing. Now my husband is thinking we should just get the dinner package to get guaranteed good seats. Thoughts?

We are on the DDP so the package is a much better "value." But I'm excited for the theming at Sci-Fi! If you were to go with a package, which would you choose? Both H&V and Mama Melrose have availibilty. I'm leaning towards MM if we do change to the package because I've read the food is better.

I'd do a MM lunch w F! package and pay OOP for a SciFi dinner or snack/dessert.

We did MM fantasmic package in December and it was totally worth it. We had great seats. We were also on the dining plan so the value was really there since we got a free app. If we were paying OOP I probably would have done HBD as I think it's not that much more PP. because there isn't much to fastpass at HS nothing was available by like 2:30 the day we were there. Including fantasmic.

We ate at Mama Melrose when we were there a couple weeks ago and I cannot express how good my meal was. I got the pork saltimbocca and DH ended up abandoning his meal to help me eat mine (huge portion, lol).

So, my suggestion is definitely MM over Sci Fi. :-)

Thanks everyone!!! It seems like the consensus is pretty clear. I reservered the Mama Melrose Fantasmic package and canceled our Sci-Fi reservation.

I think it will be too hard to do both just because we want to catch several shows, character palooza (hopefully), etc. We will just have to do Sci-Fi next time.

Eta: I know this package includes an appetizer, but is it one app per person or per table? Looking at the menu, it seems like the apps are geared towards one person. Does anyone know?

Oh, maybe that's what it was.

We order an app from the menu. We each got our own plate of dessert but had no choice- it was a 3 dessert sampler.
