As I mentioned in my Xmas Live Report thread we had lunch and dinner at BOG and I greatly preferred lunch. The food was good and I felt like it was a great value. We sat in the main ballroom and it was noisy and crowded so I imagined they would take some of the tables out for dinner and I had seen mention of tablecloths too.
Well then we ended up being in almost the same exact spot for dinner, which I can't really be upset about because when they saw my son sleeping in the stroller they let me wheel him in but other than it being a bit darker and there being a waiter I thought the atmosphere was exactly the same for dinner.
Ben was going to fall asleep too so I took him to meet the Beast. There was no one on line and we had a nice visit.
A little while later DH tried to go and meet the Beast with Ben too and they told him they could only meet him if they were exiting. (wilted) In retrospect he should have just pretended to exit and come back to our table but he was put off by it and just came back without a picture, which is a shame because there was no one in line.
So by the time everyone went to meet the Beast both kids were asleep. They made us take a picture of the stroller even though I didn't really want to but I guess I can laugh about it one day.
So anyway, BOG was great but I liked it better for lunch but my experience may have been colored by the fact that (1) both my kids fell asleep which was good and bad and (2) we got a silly picture with the Beast.
I've never felt the urge to pay the extra money for dinner. I love eating lunch there.
I think I thought it would be cool to have wine but then I had wine and realized I could be back in the hotel room drinking wine and I still had to drag two little kids home on the bus. </3
Yeah... we've done breakfast, lunch and dinner there, and I wasn't super impressed with any of them. It's not bad, just didn't think it was worth the hype. And like you, I expected a more "elegant" or something atmosphere at dinner... it was still loud and busy!! It does make a good pre park opening breakfast adr though Bc it's so close to 7 dwarves, Peter Pan, etc lol

DD loves looking at the picture of her sleeping in the stroller while Jake kneels next to her. I can see why they don't want people going back and forth to the beast multiple times!

He wasn't busy!
But I can see the point. I guess I just hyped it up too much. I would have loved Ethan to meet him too.
