We stayed at the Beach Club last July when DD was 5.5. We LOVED it. It was a 3 minute walk to Epcot and a 15 minute walk to Hollywood Studios. Buses to MK were never an issue (don't know about AK...we just drove there).
The pool is amazing. We would go to a park in the morning, stay until lunch, and then swim every afternoon. It was so nice and relaxing. DD would play in the sand or swim while DH and I just lounged in the water watching her. The only issue is that the pool is popular and finding enough chairs was an issue. It didn't really bother us--we just needed one to put our stuff on. Then we were all in the pool since it was so hot! The concrete also feels like hot lava in the summer. Make sure you bring flip flops to the pool and ones that can get wet. Then just wear them until the last possible second before getting in. You will see piles of flip flops by every pool entrance.
We rented a car and never had an issue finding parking. However, this was before the construction on the convention center so it might be different now.
It is one of our favorites. We've only stayed in the DVC section and no car, so I can't speak to that.
The pool is amazing. We the quick & easy access to Epcot since we spend so much time there. We also usually walk to or from the studios and boat the other way. Overall I just love the boardwalk area & the atmosphere, lights, the feel.
The bus to MK is okay. It seems, based on crowds, that sometime it's jut the BC/YC and occasionally they throw in the BW or something. But it's been 3 years, so that part is fuzzy. Often on our way home from the MK at night we go through Epcot if it's still open. We load up the kids in strollers in MK, monorail to TTC then to Epcot & walk home. This only works if you have park hoppers or APs, of course. We could usually get most or all of the kids asleep and we could slowly stroll & enjoy a bit of Epcot. We have also done the reverse to get to MK but only if we were eating in Epcot first, it definitely takes longer than the bus.

We have stayed at the Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge, Yacht Club, and Beach Club. Beach Club is our favorite and we are going back in March. This will be our first time with a car, though. We don't plan to drive anywhere once we're there, though, so I only plan on dealing with parking once.
The pool is fantastic and our kids love it. It is sprawled out, though, so can be tough keeping an eye on kids that scatter. Luckily, our kids are tweens now, and they pretty much come and go (and stick together).
We usually did PPO breakfasts at MK, so we'd be at the bus stop EARLY. Buses back were pretty convenient. Clearly we don't mind because we use Disney transportation exclusively. I'm interested in trying out the express park-to-park transportation if it's still available - may get us to return via Epcot more than usual.
The only Disney transportation I hate are the buses from Disney Springs. I don't know why those have to be so awful... we'll probably Uber back from there. Usually, we skip it altogether.

We stayed at the Beach Club in October, and loved it! The rooms were nice, and we even could see Illuminations from our room. The pool is amazing. We drove, and never had an issue with parking, there were always lots of spots. The walk to Epcot is awesome. We took the boat to Hollywood Studios, and that was a fun ride. We did the bus to Magic Kingdom, and it was fine. There were a few times we stood on the bus ride because it was full, but it was NBD. We stayed club level, and the staff was awesome (especially nice since the hurricane ended our trip a little early). I would 100% go back. My H & kids only want to stay at the beach club if we ever do Disney again, LOL.
I'm a huge fan of the entire Epcot area, and will probably continue to insist that we stay in one of those hotels for all of our future Disney trips. Not having to rely on bus transportation for 2/4 parks is worth a lot, IMO, and there's a lot to do and see in the Boardwalk area that makes it extra fun.
LOVED it. It was our favorite Disney property to date. I didn't love that it shares a bus with several other resorts, but buses are kind of a pain no matter where you are.
We ended up getting bumped up to club level midway through our stay, and that was pretty awesome. We packed our stuff, and they sent someone to our room to take it up to our new room.
I didn't love their lack of a dedicated QS spot. It's in a corner of the gift shop and pretty limited.
The pool is amazing. We're usually open to closers at the parks, but we found ourselves at the pool a lot more often than we had planned. We had half a day on our last day, so I took the kid down to the pool about 10 minutes before it opened. A cast member approached us and asked my son if he could help them out, then took him around the pool on a cool scavenger hunt. He was given some little pirate trinkets, and we were given two pool towels to keep, and a couple of chair covers that allowed us to reserve lounge chairs for the entire day. It was a nice extra touch

I love the Yacht and Beach Clubs. We've stayed there several times. Like others said, the pool is amazing, and both resorts are very conveniently located to Epcot and HS. I thought the buses were fine, but on our last trip in November, I noticed there were a lot more people waiting at the bus stop for BC vs YC. I don't know if BC is larger, if it's because of DVC, or what. We stayed at YC and no problems, especially because we were picked up before BC. A lot of the BC guests had to stand on the buses.
