I want them all to go and turn their back in protest. But on this matter I also want them to choose for themselves so that I can witness their own opinion. I will still call to let them know I support them if they choose to boycott.
Mine arent on the list. But i kind of cant decide if id expect Booker to boycott or not. Menendez i cant see boycotting My rep is brand new, so who knows about him (hes Dem, but was one of the 4 dems that voted with the Rs on that voted bill that i cant remember the name of).
I'm pretty sure Gottheimer ran Dem just to beat Garrett, so I don't expect him to boycott.
This seems like the kind of PR move Booker would like, so I'm surprised there.
I don't see them on that list so I assume so. Chuck Schumer is one of my senators so I think he probably feels obligated. I think it's a tough spot to be in for any rep
I read somewhere that Gilibrand is marching in a protest march that day. I assume she's marching the next day but that's just my guess.
I haven't heard that they aren't anywhere but I'm in CT and my senators and reps are all pretty clear about their dislike of him.
Gov Malloy says he's going as a reminder that they're (the Dems) not going anywhere. I haven't heard about the Reps so I assume all or most will be there?
Rep. Ted Lieu (Westside Los Angeles) is not attending.
His Twitter is amazing. Everyone should follow him (and all the other members of the CA delegation; they are making me SO PROUD right now).
I just read that Rep John Yarmuth (D-KY) who represents the Louisville area will not attend. He posted a thoughtful writeup on his Facebook page and is getting 95% praise.
Does anyone know how common it is for so many congress people to skip the inauguration for anything other than some sort of unavoidable scheduling conflict or illness or something other than making a statement?

I think all of mine are going. One is Zinke, so of course he's going since he's trying to get confirmed for a position in Trumps administration.
One is a GOP follower and the other is a Dem, but is planning to go as far as I can see.
I don't think it's uncommon for people to skip at times, is it? Didn't a group of people, including Paul Ryan, skip Obama's second inauguration for a conservative conference or retreat or something? Am I remembering that right?
