What's up TTTC grads?
We had a relaxing weekend, went out to lunch both days and finally finished painting the kitchen. Today I'm meeting some friends for lunch, hoping it won't be crazy crowded.
I had a relaxing weekend. Slept in, cleaned the house, spent time outside with friends, etc. And got our test results back that we have a healthy baby BOY in there! It feels SO weird!!
1) I never pictured myself with a boy 2) this makes it so much more real! 3) I AM SO EXCITED!
I can't wait until my anatomy scan. 2 weeks from today! I'm hoping what I'm feeling are baby flutters and not just food. I have no idea how I'm supposed to tell though.
Mostly I need my scan because I want to know everything's still ok. DH has been so anxious the last few days and it's stressing me out. I know that coming and going bump at this stage is normal, but DH doesn't and is so stressed that he's making me question it!
Is it the 30th yet? Luckily we'll be in NYC next weekend so that'll make the few days before go faster.

Congrats shauni27! Boys are awesome. I seriously love having a little boy! Initially I thought I'd miss not being able to dress him up but we dress him in ties, suspenders, & suits all the time and it is so cute!
I can't believe I am ordering my baby's first birthday invitations today! This year went so fast!
I don't know if this is the right place to post about my current pregnancy but it's pretty much the only board I post on lol. 6w 5d today. I have my ultrasound recheck this afternoon to check for cardiac activity. I have a new obgyn and he ran betas for me last week but his interpretation has me questioning if things are okay and if he's the right fit for us. So... I'm a ball of nerves today.
I don't know if what I'm feeling is movement either knx9211. Sometimes I'll feel like a little poke, or sometimes it's more of a roll-y feeling. So different feelings from my usual intestinal stuff, but who knows.
Good luck today dollyllama! I hope everything is perfect in there. Let us know

Yes! It's like a random pop or bubble sometimes. Just one strong one at a time. And then other times it feels like really slight bubbling or tickling. I want it to be movement!!

That sounds very similar to the early movement I had with DS!
We've had a great weekend! DS has been a little angel baby, we've had fun family time, hung with friends, and I've been able to get in some good runs. Today we're heading out to a neighborhood pub for a beer and snack then home to chill. Tomorrow I'm leaving DS with someone other than DH for the first time to get my haircut. I'm leaving him with my mom, but I'm still so nervous! My mom someyimes doesn't have the greatest judgement, but if I survived 17 years in her care I suppose DS will manage 2 hours lol.

Yay shauni27, congratulations! In hindsight, my early movements felt like what you're describing. I didn't realize it at the time, but it must have been. knx9211, thoseareradishes Good luck dollyllama!
The last few days with C have been quiet. We're starting to get into a groove. My mom leaves tomorrow which makes me sad and nervous. I keep telling myself to take it one day at a time. We plan to get a birth certificate and order birth announcements this week.
shauni27, Yay!!! Boys really are fun. I never saw myself with a boy, but Z is so freaking sweet. I kinda of hope our (future) second child is a boy also.
knx9211, That's what it felt like for me too. I couldn't tell if I was feeling baby movement or just had gas. lol
spearmintleaf, I hope your DD recovers soon! RSV is scary shit.
I took A to a museum yesterday and she loved it. She's really into art, and though this was more of a natural history/people's history museum than a gallery, she was intrigued. Plus she really liked all of the First Nations totems and masks. Her birthday is coming up later this week, and I can't wait to give her the stuffed kitty H picked out for her. She is obsessed with cats.

We traveled with S this weekend for the first time. She's 5w old and traveled really well. It was a 8 hour car trip. She got to meet my DH family and they loved meeting her! I still can't believe she is my baby!
I had issues with BFing this weekend where I had a whole bunch of clogged ducts this weekend. I get home and they are all gone. Can it be caused by stress?
Baby girl isn't even here yet, and we have one flower girl request for her already. The wedding will be next May (so she'll be approximately 13-14 months old). They want her and her cousin (who is going to be about 2-3 months older than her) to sit in a wagon while a 2y3m old boy pulls them in a wagon.
I don't think this will go as perfectly as bride and MOB are imagining. LOL
Congrats, Shauni!! I was convinced C was a girl until the anatomy scan showed otherwise. Lol. I couldn't picture myself as a boy mom either but it's the best!
We were supposed to go away for the weekend for my birthday but baby got sick yet again so we cancelled. His fever was gone today though. H was off for the holiday and daycare was closed so I took the day off too. H gave me my gifts in the morning then started making me breakfast while I played with the baby and he crawled for the first time! Couldn't have happened on a more perfect day. Last night I was even considering going to work after all since the trip was off but I'm so glad I didn't. We had a nice day walking around the city.
Tomorrow is his 9 month appointment. Where did my tiny baby go?!

Haha, no. Even if your kid would sit quietly in the wagon, there's no guarantee the other kid will. I feel like this is one of those unachievable pinterest things.
Also, can I share? DD does this thing that I'm sure lots of babies do. She sees something she likes, squeals/screams, bursts into a huge smile, reaches for it with both hands, and immediately brings it to her mouth. Today she started doing that with my face! When I picked her up from her nap she screamed, grinned, grabbed my hair on both sides of my head, brought my face to hers, and slobbered my cheek trying to eat it. When I pulled my head back she was in pure bliss, just squealing and smiling and slobbering. I don't know if all babies do it or not, but it's so incredible even though it's kinda disgusting due to the slobber. It's just pure love. She did it twice and I hope that's how she greets me forever.
My baby never did that, which is a shame because it sounds like the best thing ever!

H walks now. I bet she'll be done crawling entirely by the end of the week.
I'm trying to find a gif to show how I feel about this, except I don't really know how I feel about this. It's...weird. So I have a toddler now? No more baby?

I feel bad for the poor 2 year old who has to pull a wagon that probably weighs more than him!

See, I think having kids and babies in weddings are cute and funny because they are unpredictable. But the weight thing could be a problem for the 2 year old!
