My first week back at the office is going pretty well (aside from a feud I have going with a colleague who refuses to take down a life-sized Donald Trump cut-out, but that's another story). It helps that DH is home with Cal this week and next week, and sends me tons of photos and updates through the day. I gotta say though, pumping at work is the wooooorst.
DS has done really well post-lip and tongue tie revisions! Nursing is going a lot better and he's waking up less at night. I'm so encouraged so far
awick14, when DS first started peeing out of the microfiber, I think we just did double microfiber. Eventually we switched to cotton prefolds - folding them in thirds and used them as inserts in pocket diapers. Mostly we used the small/yellow size, but might've started with newborn/orange when he was smaller? I don't remember now. I used hemp prefolds as inserts overnight with a layer or something quicker-absorbing on top. That lasted for quite a while.
scm1011 I'm so happy to hear that nursing is getting better!

Just got back from the OB to go over the anatomy scan we got from the agency. He cleared up our concerns (baby is fine, just on the smaller side), and his main concern would be the placenta previa. Expecting mom has another scan on Friday, so we'll get an update on the placenta previa then, as well as (hopefully) more scans of the heart.
NT scan went well and everything looked perfect ! We got a bunch of photos. Of course it took like 25 minutes because baby would not cooperate but I was ok since we got to see him kick and punch his fist nd wiggle. So cute. We also got a guess on the sex. Our cell free DNA will be back in 8 to 10 days so we will know for sure then.
thoseareradishes- I think I'm going to order some hemp/cotton inserts and see how well it goes. Then I'll order enough for all the diapers once I know I like them.

We got a huge stash of BumGenius 4.0 pocket diapers from a friend who had twins. I really hope they work well, because I got 37 of them and I don't plan on buying anything else (I bought 6-7 other diapers prior to getting this stash, so I do have a few others, but I really don't want to buy any more).
I definitely need to prep them though...i'm thinking just tossing them all in the tub with hot water and bleach. LOL
I did my glucose test again this morning. I had 2 orders for the same thing, except apparently my MFM checked "GGT" rather than "GTT" so thank goodness I also had an order from my OB. I googled GGT and it looks like it has something to do with liver failure... had to have been a mistake I think. Those ladies at Quest all know me by now. I got the one I don't like today, which was disappointing. She asked me if I know if it's one or two in there, then she says "oh that's a big baby!"
I have been feeling very emotionally on edge lately. Last night I dropped my phone down the headboard so it landed under the bed where I couldn't reach. DH came in the bedroom to find me laying on the floor shining a flashlight at it, trying to figure out what to do. Having no idea what was going on, he said "so did you throw your phone under the middle of the bed?" omg, something about the way he said it made me crack up laughing. I was laughing so hard I was crying. And then I was just crying and crying. I need to pull myself together. He did rescue my phone for me. My hero.
Had my follow up appointment this morning. I was really freaking out because I was having some spotting last night but baby looked great! Heard his little heart beat and he's measuring right on track. I'll get my blood work results this afternoon so hopefully my levels are back up.

I'll PM you a Facebook group that helps with prepping and cleaning diapers.
My doc said I can pick a day the week of March 21 to be induced if I would like to. Baby's measuring ahead still, but heartbeat still sounds good. Crazy to think we have 5 weekends left til we meet her!
I'm also good to go I think with getting written out early for my leave to start at 37 weeks. Dr okayed it, and HR says I just need a note saying I am being written out at this date because __ and if we know the induction date to include that. So hopefully, just 11 work days left!

Sigh...expecting mom has randomly decided to reschedule her appointment (was supposed to be today), to next week. I have no idea why, I didn't even know she'd rescheduled (the agency told me yesterday). I hope everything is ok, but a part of me also wants to know why she rescheduled. Sigh...16 more weeks...16 more weeks.
oneslybookworm, frustrating for sure, but no reason to be alarmed. Perhaps something with her work came up, or a family member is ill, her car is in the shop, she needs to be home to meet a repairman, etc.
But I do understand the frustration 100% plus it is so hard not to be in control of this situation. None of us are in control of what is happening (after our journeys with IF we all know that!) but for you to be involved only peripherally makes it even more difficult. I'm so sorry.
UGH, speaking of delayed and rescheduled appointments, my anatomy scan got pushed back. I managed to get them to move it from a full 10 days later to just 2 days later but I am still frustrated; I just want my anxiety calmed, you know?

Yeah, I'm not really worried per se. It's more just she has a habit of not really making her appointments unless prodded. She doesn't work, doesn't have a car, so the agency sets up Uber for her. I know that things could come up, but this isn't the first time something like this has happened. With her having a high risk pregnancy, it would be beneficial for her to try to make the appointments.
oneslybookworm frustrating indeed. Especially since they send an Uber for her. It's got to be hard being so far away. I love that mobile, where did you get it?

Etsy! It's where I also bought the wall decal we have over the crib. The seller was ArloGold for the mobile.
