pooh8402, my middle name is my maiden name, which I like a lot.
My MIL did the same, but I looooove my middle name so much. I didn't want to give it up. I probably could have made it two middle names but eh. My dad is screwed anyway--he had all girls, his brother is actually a half sibling from a different dad, so he has a different last name. He has no one to carry on that family name.
ugh, spent the morning at the doctors again for G's broken leg. Surgery is next week. Bug ultrasound tomorrow! Feeling lots of little twitches and pops today which is reassuring.

Glad you are feeling some movement shauni27! I hope all goes well with the ultrasound and surgery.
I picked up my freebie bag from Target for opening up a registry. It's pretty nice - a Dr. Brown's bottle, variety of wipes, a pacifier, a tape measure (?), a couple of diapers, and some coupons and little sample lotions. It all came in a cute little reusable bag.

Can I admit here that I'm throwing a baby shower for a friend in a few weeks and I'm having jealous IF feels? Which is dumb but I can't help it. She's one of those with an oops pregnancy 10 minutes after the wedding and has had a perfect pregnancy and is now fully stocked up on baby girl everything. I think it's compounded by the fact that in the last week or two it seems like Gus has really "grown up." He's got two teeth and has started crawling. And he's just so much more interactive now and opinionated. I miss my tiny baby!!!
Chrysanthemum we bought a wedge off of amazon. It worked great and daycare also had a wedge in DDs crib. Our pediatrician was very pro try Zantac since she felt it was very safe for babies.
I am struggling with boys names. I like classic names but everyone in my family has one and they've used most that we've liked. I'm also a teacher (of behavioral children) and so there are so many names I CANT use. We also want something with at least 2 syllables. Any suggestions???

I am really struggling with boy names this go round too. We picked a girls name pretty easily but we cannot agree on boy names. I like Andrew but call him Drew. It was my uncle's name and every generation but mine has an Andrew in it for hundreds of years. H isn't sold on it though.
If you go with two syllables how about Jackson, Phillip, Henry, Matthew, Felix, Lucas, Maxwell?

I'm assuming by classic you mean British(ish) or similar? One of my favourite boy names was Dominic. Others are:
William Henry Oliver Philip Arthur Edward Edmund David Christian Nicholas Alexander Peter Owen Robert Richard Geoffrey Samuel Theodore Daniel Frederick Michael Thomas

Alexander and Nicholas are 2 that I'm ok with...I hadn't thought of Henry but I've never had a Henry in school so that's a possibility.

See, I told you I am bad with boy names!
That's so funny about the Andrew. Originally I wanted my boy to be Andrew Michael...called Drew. However, I have a 5 year old in my class who is a hellion and his name is Dru so there is no way. I mean, this kid cusses me out and today asked if he could smell my underware....so that name is officially out for me sadly.

King26, I know the pain! Working in education and naming your kid is HARD! Jackson, Henry, Benjamin, Daniel, and William were names I really liked for boys.
Our ultrasound is today; I was starting to feel more confident after feeling movement yesterday and having a good heartbeat check Tuesday, but G was a nervous wreck last night and so now I am back to being anxious. What if we are the small percentage of people who have something wrong with our baby? I know the first tri screening was good so that isn't worrying, but there are so many other things that could have gone wrong, and with our track record with pregnancy I cannot help but feel we are doomed. T minus 2 hours.

King26, I was going to put in my boy name suggestions, but realized that all of them were already listed by loira!! Good luck, I can't imagine being a teacher and having so many names off the list!
Hang in there, shauni27, I'm sure everything is fine!!!! Good luck!
Ugh, that is awful oneslybookworm. I cannot imagine how hard it is to deal with all of this from so far away. Hopefully your gut is wrong but regardless, anxiety inducing for real.

So so so many hugs sweetie. Speaking as someone who had something occur that happens to less than 1% of pregnant women last time I get it. I'm still a nervous wreck this time. I just keep telling myself that I can't let this control my life. I am doing everything within my power to have a healthy baby. And at the end of the day that is all I can do and hope for the best. You are so strong and doing great. Now that you can feel him I hope it gives some more reassurance.
oneslybookworm I didn't see your post but I hope everything is alright.
shauni27, I hope everything goes well today. I get the fear and am glad you will hopefully have some reassurance soon. The hours leading up to appointments are the worst for me.
yay shauni27! I missed your post oneslybookworm, but I'm sorry for whatever is happening and hope it's all ok!
My headache is mostly gone, so I'm back at work today. My car has been in the shop since mid-december and I finally got it back yesterday. Along with a dead battery! I told the guy don't you think the fact that it has been sitting in your parking lot for nearly 3 months had something to do with this. He offered to sell me a new battery or jump it so I could drive home. How annoying. Luckily my H and I can usually carpool. We will try it again tonight to see if it's still dead or not.
Hey all! S and I are in Vegas accompaning my DH on his work trip. We were supposed to get here tomorrow but arrived yesterday at super last minute( DH came home at 930am and told me to finish packing as we had to get to Vegas that day). We left in 20 minutes it was crazy! Lots of running!
S is so cute in the mornings! So talkative and fun! She is currently in love with her kick n play piano mat.
We are here in Vegas for a week and I will have a lot of alone time with S. Any suggestions?

Last night I finished up the quilt top for our EM's quilt that I'm making her! Her favorite colors are Red/Grey/Black, so the top of the quilt is a bunch of red batik fabrics I found. Red isn't my favorite color, so I'm sort of "meh" on it, but I hope she likes it!
Then, I'm backing it in an Alice in Wonderland print that I found and fell in love with.
I keep waking up with bad cramps, which I remember from my first two pregnancies. I am so grateful to be pregnant I am just tired of the early stuff. I wish there was a fast forward button!
oneslybookworm wow, the quilt looks great! I don't think you get too many quilts where red is the main color but I really like it. I think the backing is super fun as well.
