What would be your cake filling of choice?

So I am getting a cake for R's baptism and I can't decide on a filling! 

Options are:
Vanilla custard
Chocolate custard
Lemon
Cannoli
Strawberry and custard
Banana and custard
Strawberry and banana and custard

The cannoli filling is amazing, we had it for my baby shower cake, but I also know it's a specific taste not everyone likes. 

Cake itself is either chocolate or vanilla

Frosting is chocolate or vanilla butter cream or whipped cream

I feel like the options I would like best are probably not what others would pick so I want to hear some opinions

ETA: There are going to be multiple other dessert options, such as cookies and pies, not sure if this matters

For a vanilla cake, I would pick the lemon filling.

For a chocolate cake, I would pick the vanilla or chocolate custard (or maybe both, if you're doing more than two layers).

I like simple cakes, though.

Vanilla with strawberry sounds like a crowd pleaser.

I personally would love white with lemon filling, but not sure if everyone would like lemon. So I'd probably do either white with strawberry custard or chocolate with chocolate custard.

There is no wrong answer. Cake is always the correct answer. 


But I would totally do vanilla with lemon. YUM!

I hate filling so I'd just eat around it either way, but chocolate is usually ok, lol.

They all sound amazing. Get your favorite and make sure you order enough to have leftovers

I'd personally do lemon or strawberry since it's spring.

I love lemons and strawberries so it would be one of those two for me. We'd go strawberry because my Mom HATES citrus with the power of a thousand suns.

I do prefer cupcakes because the frosting/cake ratio is much better.

but if it is strawberry cake with cream cheese frosting, or lemon cake with raspberry filling? omg, I will eat that ish up!

Vanilla with vanilla
Vanilla with choc fudge (and vanilla buttercream)
Vanilla with pineapple filling
