my H has the man cold to end all man colds. He's been sick since like Sunday. He's worked from home all week. I got sick Wednesday, went to orientation all day, slept all Thursday morning then was productive Thursday afternoon, and worked all day Friday. I'm still sick. He went to a concert last night, and has been sleeping all day today while I've had E.
The plan was that he would take E from 12:30-2:30 for a "father-son" baseball game with our church. and I would study. I relaxed last night after work instead of studying because I knew I would have this time. 12:30 comes around and he is still in bed and now I'm a little pissed. He's mad at me because I didn't study last night--well you told me you would take the kid so I took the opportunity to relax after my first week at my new job! My brain is already fried from all the new information, is it so bad that I wanted to watch some brain candy (Secret Life of the American Teenager, btw)?
He and E are at the baseball game, but H is not happy about it and he's not being very nice to E as a result. I already called him out on that, that he doesn't need to take out his anger on our toddler (he wouldn't do anything physical, he's basically just really frustrated and not patient at all today).
I would be super annoyed by ALL of that pooh8402. Btw, nice choice on Secret Life It's one of my faves.
It's a gorgeous day here. I was thinking about the kids' museum this afternoon, but it's too nice to be inside today. Also, I got my haircut and made an appointment to do rose gold in my hair!
It's soooo nice today! We did a little running around and played outside. Also cleaned our cars out a little and H reorganized the garage. I've been looking at landscaping ideas and can't wait to start!
pooh8402 that would tick me off. Especially after he went to a freakin concert.
We saw the Easter Bunny then went to lunch. Afterwards we played with L's new baby pool. I'm now picking up Chilli's to go from gift cards we received. DH and I will watch a movie tonight.
We had a busy day. Took the girls to my ILs this morning and stayed for lunch. Had a play date this afternoon. Hoping that means everyone sleeps well tonight because I am worn out.
DH and E got home about 2. Both went down for a nap. DH just got up about 45 minutes ago, just in time to read a couple of books to E before bed. *sigh* in all fairness, it does seem like he has a sinus infection. but I had sinus infections off and on from September through to March, and had another on the day we moved, and still had to get stuff done.
oh well. they're both back in bed. I took a quiz for my class without reading the material ahead of time, and aced it. it was over the reproductive systems. if that doesn't tell me that I need to go into women's health, nothing else will.
all of yall had nice days! that's great! HoneySpider , we have the ninja coffee system too (also after our keurig died) and we love it!!!
I would have been very upset. Glad he finally took E and you were able to get some studying done pooh8402
We are all home for the weekend. Some friends came by yesterday and brought over dinner. Nice to have a distraction. Yesterday was one of the harder days...a little more down time and time to think.
Today I am supposed to run with my dad this morning and then I need to get me and the boys packed and ready to go for tomorrow morning. My house is a disaster too so need to try to pick up a little so I don't come home to complete chaos.
I am going to my moms house tomorrow morning for a couple days. My aunt will be there tomorrow and my cousin and his wife are coming to help with the boys. My college roommate offered to bring dinner or come hang out/help with the boys and my church mentor said to let her know what I need as well. Thankful for so much support right now. We have a lot of stuff to go through and cleanup. Thankfully she had her rent paid through May and we were able to sell a lot of stuff Weds when we got there.
Also, I did a search on my email with my moms name...found a ton of emails from her. Thankful I will always have those to look at. Oh, and apparently she is visiting me as a bunny😀 Saw one at her house (she loved bunnies), which was normal but then there was one in our backyard yesterday and we have NEVER had a bunny back there. Nice to feel her presence and know that she is finally getting to see her grandkids and me every day...I know that makes her very happy.
*hugs* luv2rn4fun. I'm glad you have a symbol of her. H's family always says toads are his grandpa. And for my friend that died in high school it's dragonflies. It's nice to have something like that to still feel their presence. I hope you're taking care of yourself!
We're at home instead of church. I'm spending my birthday with a sick toddler and a sick husband. Dh rallied and is feeling better, but he can't help me much since E just wants me when he's sick. We're currently snuggling on the couch, watching Dave and Ava on youtube.
Baby related......So, I guess we became friends with the deli lady. She was so excited when we brought A in yo grocery shop after she was born. ....Today she asked us if we'd still be shopping next week on our regular grocery day since it'll be Easter, because she has a gift for A. I don't know if we're just friendly to the deli staff than most if the people who shop here or what.
luv2rn4fun I'm glad the bunnies can give you a bit of comfort, and that you have help. How is your husband through all this?
grover how sweet of her! I think a lot of people can be pretty rude or just rushed at the deli, so I bet she appreciated your kindness
Kid talk: M has the stomach flu and it is awful and so sad He started puking at 3am and has barely stopped since. Diarrhea too. He keeps begging for water and food, but then he throws it all up, so we're trying to pace him. Then he cries and troes to steal his sister's water. I feel mean to say no more water, even though I just want him to get better.
Hubby is at the store to get crackers, Pedialyte, gingerale, peroxide, etc. I'm just grateful this is a weekend when I have help.
I was just telling a friend how the kids haven't really been sick since thanksgiving. I should have kept my mouth shut.
Boo E has a 102.4 fever. He's down for a nap, hoping that it plus motrin help. I'm so frustrated. He's on the last day of a 10-day course of antibiotics. Dh said he can't take off tomorrow, but I really really can't take off tomorrow.

I'm sorry E is sick pooh8402, especially with your new job and all your class work. That's the worst time!
I'm going to have a man cold style vent here. I have the worst immune system since having a kid. I swear I'm always sick. I'm half tempted to ask for blood panels to be run or something because I'm sick EVERY MONTH and I used to go years between getting sick. I've had this cough for 3 full weeks now and it seems to be getting worse not better. This is POST getting the flu last month after having the flu shot. Doc on demand gave me some pill that supposedly stops your lungs from spasming (sp?) and an inhaler last week. That worked for a bit and now the cough is back with a vengeance. Between little man and I being sick, I don't have the free time to go to the doc all the time. Grrrr.
We have had a very relaxing weekend. I had an amazing time at a wine and beer tasting event. Two coworkers happened to be there too, along with a family friend, so we hung out with all of them for a bit and had a great time. Yesterday we watched planes take off and land at a local airport, and DS was in heaven. Today I got my hair highlighted and took myself to lunch, and then went with DS to the park twice. In total, we have been to two parks a total of five times this weekend.
That said, we didn't grocery shop, I have a lot of work to do for my class, and there is a mountain of laundry to do. But we have a bunch of good memories, so oh well!
Thanks ladies! amaranth- the timing has been somewhat of a blessing as DH had his last day of work on Tues and then starts his new job tomorrow. He was actually at the hospital when my mom passed (but downstairs walking L and caring for him). He drove us home and then stayed and cared for C on Weds and thurs while I took L to my moms to get some stuff done. Friday was a family zoo day. Overall, he has been great. He and my mom really didn't see eye to eye and he was the main reason my mom and I didn't have a relationship (some valid, some she went over the top because of her illness...I see both sides and was stuck in the middle). Anyways, as much as he didn't care for my mom these past two years he is also hurting for both of us and has been helpful in letting me breakdown and talk when I need to. I am really worried about him starting a new job though. I feel like it's not realistic to expect him to be here for me like I would like him/need him to be and that I really need to be strong these next few months since I will be caring for the boys solo during the week and I just don't know if I have it in me right now. Oh, and to top it all off...my IUD strings disappeared (not that it matters except I now need an appointment before our insurance changes May 1) and AF showed up yesterday for the first time since L was born.
pooh8402amaranth Sorry for the sick kiddos (( I keep thinking Lila is teething big time (FussssYYYYYYYYYYYYY)....but after weeks of checking, no incisors in site. Of course THEN I check her temp, hoping and praying it's not another ear infection. Crazy.
wanderingenough This is the main reason I'm getting back into EO's right after this pregnancy. My boss came in to yell at me for the non-stop coughing on Friday. ("You BETTER not be coming in here sick!") It's been dragging on for three weeks. Of course, after I explained to her that I've been looked at for a sinus infection, received negative flu tests, and that my doc said, "Sorry, it's just allergies"....she slowed her roll. Like I have to reserve my PTO days for kiddos....not for non-stop coughing without reason.
