Good Morning! Hope everyone is making it through the week ok!
We're going to lunch with my mom today. I'm excited because we don't get to do lunch during the week very often since her work is about 45 minutes away. She took this week off to get their house settled after moving last week.
I think everyone's outfits for Easter are figured out. I just need to steam my dress and DS's outfit. I hope he cooperates and we can get a good family picture.

I'm so glad this week is halfway over. I'm beyond tired. DH isn't used to a daily physical job so he crashed hard last night. Mr. I'm not tired was in a deep sleep before his head hit his pillow lol.
I need to find ways to be active at work. I walk around the station and clean things but I'm not getting enough steps daily.
wineandcheese If my FitBit buzzes at me that I need more steps for the hour I check to see how many I need to see if it's worth getting up, lol. Sometimes if it's not many steps I just move my arm to get the steps counted. Clearly it's actually motivating me to move, lol.
I'm so tired. I stayed up late last night working on an assignment for school (about racism in healthcare, so not something I can just BS my way through either). Need coffee.
But.
I did set an appointment with one RE here in my new city for a consultation (not until June, blah), and am working on the paperwork for the other RE. I've also got my records from my old doctor so that I can hand those in to the new REs as well. yay! Hoping this other RE can get me in sooner than June.
S and I are down for the count, and M is still sick. The doctor said it's viral and she can't help. She just suggested an herb that may help our stomach feel less irritated but it really won't help much
I hope everyone in your house is better soon amaranth.
I didn't get my steps yesterday. 😞I was about 800 short. I fell asleep in the rocking chair last night at 8 and didn't wake up until 12:30. So no chance to even get them in before I went to bed. But on the plus side I got more sleep last night.
awick14 Glad you got some sleep! I did something similar a couple of weeks ago. I was really close to my steps, and we were staying up late working on the house. I sat down for a little bit and it changed to midnight when I had like 20 steps left. I was so mad.

I would be mad too, lol. I was on a 24 days streak!
tacocat- hope you had a great time with your mom at lunch today!
awick14- way to go on 24 days straight of steps!! Very impressive!
We are finally home. It took over 2 hours. L didn't sleep much last night and I am pretty exhausted. Both boys are in bed napping now but I expect L to be up soon. I invited my brother over but not sure if he's coming by or not...he also invited me over to their place but no way am I leaving the house and packing us all up again.
My friend texted me apologizing for yesterday, stating she had a migraine and went home and straight to bed. Ok, no problem but a simple text yesterday would have been nice and it still doesn't make up for Monday too.
Boo amaranth, I hope everyone gets to feeling better soon!
Speaking of steps, I took my fitbit off about 2 hours ago for a shower and forgot to put it back on. Oops. Guess I'm not making my steps today.
The other RE just got me in for May 15, yay! She's closer to my house and my job, so she's got a lot of checks in her favor. I'll go to the appointment and if I'm in love, I'll just cancel the other one.
HoneySpider I've had decent luck with the Jergens lotion. I've never tried an actual self tanner, so I'm not sure about those. I've also gotten spray tans at Sun Tan City with pretty good success.
I ate too much at lunch. I kind of wantto take a nap.
Anyone have a self-tanner they'd recommend? I am PALE.
St. Tropez bronzing mousse is my favorite because it doesn't turn me orange. it's not cheap but it lasts a decent amount of time. the smaller can lasted me 2 summers, but I used it as needed and not like once a week. it also comes with a mitt so you don't turn your hands orange. you can get it at Ulta. my favorite drugstore is Loreal Sublime Bronze tanning lotion. fyi, it's not a lotion lotion; it's more like a gelee, and it's glittery, blah. this one gives me minimal orange.
I got some bad and unexpected news today about someone that I've worked closely with for 7 years. He's in the hospital and not doing well. I am so shocked, especially because he didn't mention anything beforehand. I feel so bad for his family.
On a much lighter note, painters started at our house today. DH sent me a photo and now I'm wondering why I lived with orange paint for the past 6 years. It looks so much better with a more neutral wall color! It's a greyish green color to go with our slate looking tile. Various shades of gray going up soon in the rest of the house. Goodbye red, apricot, and bright blue!

I kind of want to finally take my belly button ring out for good but for some reason I'm attached to it, haha. I've had it for like, 10.5 years. I wore it all through my pregnancy (had to get a plastic extended one later on) and put it back in a few days after my appendectomy. I don't even know why I have it in anymore. It's not like anyone ever sees it other than H and I, occasionally E. I will likely never be at a size I'd consider showing it off again. Why can't I take this thing out?? I'm not planning on getting rid of my nose ring anytime soon FWIW. Haha.
GOOD NEWS: I feel nearly all better, already. Thank goodness I must not have gotten the same version as M who still isn't 100% on day 5. Poor him, but thank God for me.
Tonight H feel down the stairs while carrying S. He just slipped. She isn't hurt at all, but his hip is all bruised. I am glad he sacrificed himself. I nearly had a heart attack listening to the fall and finding them all crumpled at the bottom.
estrellita I have dresses that will never fit me again, but I can't give them away because I am also too attached. And honestly, even if they did fit, what 30 year old has a reason to wear skin tight mini dresses?
ewall The new color sounds lovely! Sorry about your coworker
wineandcheese I had assumed your job was pretty physically rigorous and that you wouldn't want to be adding any further activity. Is it just slow enough that you feel sedentary?
amaranth Glad you feel better! I KNOW that must have been so frightening with your DH and S.
ewall Sounds like we have a similar paint color in our living room. I LOVE it so much. I will probably have a room that color as long as they sell it in stores.
