I'm reading Egg and Spoon by Gregory Maguire. I think it's almost a Prince and Pauper retelling set in Russia. I am enjoying it, but like all his books, it takes a bit to get into.

I'm very late to this thread because I'm reading escapist books that aren't all that exciting to discuss (though fun to read). On paper, the 11th book of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series (Knife of Dreams) and via audio Christopher Paolini's Eragon.
QOTW: lately we've been eating out or cooking frozen meals from Trader Joe's, so not creative cooking at all.

I loved Eragon and Eldest, and maybe the third book (drawing a blank) but the series went on too long after that. And speaking of long...WoT books! I loved them, but I'm so glad I audioed those on my commute!
