Abby didn't start until she was 6ish, and she always got a dollar. For the first one, we did a Sacajawea dollar, but the rest are just bills. More often than not, the tooth fairy "forgets" and has to come back the next night.
Do they sell some kind of door hang thing to put teeth in? She frequently wakes up if we open her door so I have no faith we could sneak money under her pillow.

Growing up, I got one quarter for each tooth. I will probably do the same since we are much more likely to have quarters laying around the house as opposed to dollar bills.

I always got at least $1, sometimes $2 and at least once $5. I haven't really thought about how much I'll pay out but I'm thinking probably $2 a tooth, maybe more for the first.
Katelyn has lost 4 already, #5 is wiggly! She started losing right before 4.5. Kalvin has lost 9 and he just turned 7. He was 5 and 3 months when he lost his first one. Teething is the only thing they do early.
Going rate is $5 for first tooth, $1 for others unless it's a canine or molar than it is $2. Sometimes I do gold as someone gave me a bunch at my bridal shower that I just found and I had no other cash on hand.
I'm not ready to lose teeth yet! They were so much trouble to get in; I'd like a little more mileage! Lol.
I know! I don't know why baby teeth don't last longer! They have some of those for only 4-5 years, and then the permanent for 80+ years. I feel like we'd get way less cavities if we got adult teeth in our teens but that might look kind of silly for awhile lol

The dentist told us Ruby has a few teeth that may get loose soon. Ugh. Not excited for that. She read in a book that the tooth fairy leaves 2 coins so that's what she thinks she will get and we will go with it. 2 quarters and maybe candy.
I'm also not looking forward to real teeth because now if they fall and knock one out, who cares that much, but losing a permanent tooth would not be fun!
Wow kkfeb04! I can't believe she's lost so many! This hadn't even crossed my mind until I saw a couple on fb losing theirs. I don't think any of B's are loose.

The tooth fairy pillow hangs on the door now instead of on his bed post. Her first one was a shock and I wasn't prepared with a pillow for her. I asked Kalvin if they could share and he was fine with that. Hell, H forgot to take his tooth out Tuesday when we placed hers in Thursday. Thank goodness they only look for money.

My baby lost her first one on my 36th birthday. I want her to stay little, not grow up so quickly.
I can't handle wiggly teeth, so I am not looking forward to this! I plan on getting a bunch of silver dollars from the bank and keeping a stash for each tooth. I think it would be fun to get a "special" coin for lost teeth.

Get a tooth box or door hanger thing. Do not mess with under the pillow, too stressful. I'm hoping D's teeth stay in until 6 but her pallet is so so narrow and has a cross bite. H lost 2 the year she turned 6 and then lost about 6 more in at 7.5 in less than a month. None since fall.

What is it about those second kids trying to grow up so fast?
