I just need to get thru today, and then we're off to the water park for a mini vacation! The boys are so excited. It was the first thing Blake said today. Lol
Checking my email like a crazy person hoping to hear back from this company! I neeeeeeed to know some sort of feedback damnit!! This is torture!!! If I don't hear back by afternoon I will send an email.
A had a field trip last Friday. I was told by one of her teachers that I couldn't bring H, no younger siblings allowed. I was unable to find someone to watch him, so I kept her home. Today I'm talking with other moms, and they were all told by the same teacher they could bring their younger siblings. They said at the actual field trip all the younger siblings from the class were there, we were the only ones not there. I'm really annoyed.
We got the kids pictures done on Saturday and I turn into a crazy person after pictures. I went to high school with our photographer and if you told me 15 years ago that I would stalk this lady a few times a year I would have laughed at you. But i do! I stalk her Facebook page waiting for a sneak peek! I just want to see them!
There's a potential writers strike with a negotiation deadline of midnight tonight. It sounds like they're making headway, but it still makes me super nervous. If there's a strike, DH will be out of a job until it's resolved.

Wow that would make me so mad! I would want to call the teacher out on it but probably wouldn't because I am not good at confrontations but that is ridiculous!

I did not sleep well last night at all. I think it was a combination of being sick (head cold or sinus issues), the rain, and Ruby being in our bed. She kept waking up a lot for some reason. So tired today. Luckily my mom is in town visiting and she is cooking us dinner and helping out with laundry. She is so helpful, she even offered to wrap Ruby's birthday gifts for me since I mentioned I had to do that before Wednesday. Wish she lived closer!
Loco Coco, I wish I had your luck with I. It's probably because I've let him fall asleep in the car seat so much, but crib naps are next to impossible. And if I'm spending too much time trying to get him to nap, W is off destroying some other room in the house.

I am sorry. are you open to cry it out? Might help you both.
That's probably what I'm going to have to do. I've been hesitant since we're in an apartment and the upstairs neighbors sometimes work from home

Aw yeah, that's rough! A sound machine might drown it out a bit? Hopefully it'll just be a few days of crying. Although when G was a baby it was like she just NEEDED to cry for 10 min before she would settle no matter what I did. some kids are just not good sleepers and it's so hard.
He was awesome with sleep from 4-6mo, sleeping thru the night/solid naps, then it all just went to shit. A sound machine is a good idea. He is so different from W in a lot of ways, so I guess I need to stop expecting him to follow her routine as a baby
Good afternoon. I was very delighted to speak with Nadia and Benjamin last week about the position with ____! When I spoke with Benjamin, he mentioned that speaking to Rose would be the next step in moving forward with the company. I would love to set up a time to connect with her! I was curious if you had an idea when this could be arranged?
A friend of mine recently got a job with st.itch fi.x and had SEVEN interviews. She said it the same kind of process that mine has been like. I guess this is becoming the new norm for some places?

It's just so weird! I don't understand why you can't get all the people together that care in the same room so there can be a limited number of interviews.
I don't think this excessive interview trend has made it to where we are at (or maybe it's not in the tech industry at all, that's all I know for interviews lol). I had a single interview when I got my job out of college (engineering job for the government, but there were probably 6-7 people holding the interview and asking questions). My husband's recent job was only 2 interviews for a tech job. Way back in 2009 lol every job I interviewed for was max 2 interviews.

Well I don't think they are all in the same area. I spoke with someone who is in New york, someone who just got back from Taiwan, the main person I've spoken with the most is in LA. It's like all the big/ high up people in the company that I have to speak with, and they are all over the place!

They need to figure out face timing with multiple people! Maybe it is like survival of the fittest, if you don't give up before the 1000th interview they figure you are determined and should get the job lol.

My MIL arrived this afternoon! She will likely be here for the better part of two months and I'm so excited! I realize this is not normal, but she is the best and I love her.

lol. I know, I feel like it's a test!
Do you think my email sounds good??
I would drop an exclamation point but otherwise it's good jnoellee

I added the exclamation because one of the feedback I got from someone I know who used to work with Aimee was for me to be more of a cheerleader. So I was trying to bring across my cheer via email lol

Yeah I'll drop the last one for sure. Ugh, if only they would hurry this thing up
