Why would tacos be a bad idea? How are they worse than eggs and toast? H and I eat breakfast tacos many days. Lately I've been doing one taco each in a soft taco sized flour tortilla, which are about 130 calories each. Tortilla, chicken chorizo, one egg, cheese. It's like 500 calories, plus I do fruit on the side. You could leave off the sausage or cheese for lower calories. I've also done two corn tortillas, which are 50 calories each.
This morning I did mashed avocado on whole wheat English muffins, topped with over easy eggs. It's really no different than eggs and avocado rolled into a tortilla.
I just made breakfast tacos for lunch. Delicious. Thanks for the idea!

Never been PG, but my morning go-to is eggs. With your aversion, I'd just do some other protein. Could you eat some shredded rotisserie chicken on a bagel or toast or tortilla with whatever 'glue' holds it on and works for you (I'd do a pesto cream cheese personally)?
Or, have granola with yogurt and extra nuts? Cheese and crackers first thing, then try something else once your stomach is chilled out? Could you do a smoothie with pb powder and bananas?
Maybe I'm just worried about ruining tacos for me, lol.
I could probably manage to eat them more frequently and stay safe, but I still need other options.
Ha, morning sickness ruined Greek yogurt for me. I used to love it, and then I couldn't touch it for like 7 years after pregnancy. I only recently got around to eating it again.
I'm like you and am always famished in the mornings (pregnant or not!). I can't do eggs early in the morning either, so it does limit protein options.
Right now I eat a huge bowl of the 3 minute steel cut oats with brown sugar, vanilla and pecans (although I'm using almonds right now since they are good for breastfeeding) and a cheese stick. That fills me up for about 2 hours max and then I start snacking!
I do also love oatmeal pancakes and have made those on the weekend to reheat during the week, topped with peanut butter.
I have this bagel every morning with a little butter on it. I really like that I get 28g of protein from it.
How do they taste?
Sorry, I didn't see this earlier. They remind me a little of the brown bread at Outback, but they have some cinnamon in them. I think the flavor is good, but it's not the same as getting a bagel from Einstein bagels.
