A Walk in the Woods: Rediscovering America on the Appalachian Trail Bryson, Bill 4/5 stars. I LOVED this book I actually felt as if I were hiking(did not like the subtle fat shaming however)
I cannot think of this book without thinking of the hipster uni students who were on a bus with me to Melbourne once. They were discussing this book and how life changing it was, and how if you stand on a mountaintop in Kentucky you can see the Atlantic. They thought they were so smart and fancy, and they were showing the map in the copy of the book to each other and pointing out the places you can stop in Kentucky and Texas and Illinois along the route.
It made me rather happy to learn that the US education system is not the only one failing its students.
