And how long is typical to wait for things to get done? Per his request, I sent over a copy of the proposed separation agreement from my husband's attorney marked up with my changes, about 2 weeks ago. I didn't get acknowledgement of receipt or anything. I asked his paralegal when I should expect to hear back. Nothing. I know he is extremely busy and also very competent, but is this typical?
That sounds like a long time to me, but I honestly don't remember the timeline on the Separation Agreement for myself. My attorney was typically always available within 24 hours for a phone call or email response. I don't believe it took more than 2-4 weeks to get all the information together to draft, review and correct the separation agreement. My ex-H did not use an attorney though.

Ok. I'll call tomorrow. Once again, STBX has the upper hand since he makes 3 times what I do. I know life isn't fair but I have never felt so powerless.

While I'm having a pitty party, Tuesday was a shit show (it has a sitcom-like funny ending though so stay with me!). I got to come home 3 days early from an audit (yay!) because the person we needed was out of the office (boo). I went through my mail I had missed, and was excited to see I had what I thought was a check from Aflac. Just kidding, my disability claim was denied and I get NOTHING for the 6 weeks I was out of work. Then I have a note from my bank that I bounced a $3000 check (because evidently Discover Bank takes over a week to do a balance transfer. Changing banks asap). The check was to my attorney (that's not the reason for the radio silence. I immediately drove over before they closed and they weren't even aware the check bounced). So now I have to pay them in cash or certified bank check, which is totally understandable, but it takes 7-10 days to get one of those from Discover Bank. So I went to the credit union to see if they could help me, and they said I already had enough in my account (technically my husband's account but my name is also on it). So I basically borrowed money from my husband to pay my divorce attorney. Winning.(yes, I told him. Paying him back tomorrow).
So now the "is this my life or a tv show" end to my day. Asked my sister and friend if someone wanted to get a drink. Sister met me at the bar. As we were walking in, we saw the guy my husband called and asked if he was boning me having a drink with his wife on the bar patio. Because of course we did. We turned around and went to the bar upstairs instead, maybe got hit on by the bartender, all my drinks were free, and the chef just happened to make the wrong appetizer for someone (right) and it was the bartender's favorite and he gave it to us.
Whaaaaat? Wait, did you ever make an AE about this? Because I swear a poster here (GBCN) had this happen to them.
Yep, that was me. He knows I know, everyone involved knows, it's pretty out in the open now unfortunately. Also? I run into him all.the.time. Small town problems.
PDQ: Although one time before my husband knew I knew, we were on our last attempt at a date and we ran into him, and I invited the guy over to "introduce" him to my husband (knowing they had already spoke) and he helped me fuck with him. It was awesome. (devil)
