We have a super busy weekend and it's supposed to be hot hot hot this Sunday. Hopefully we can let the kids go crazy in the sprinklers.
My H has a job interview today. A lot more money, more responsibilities, but with travel. If he is presented with an offer he'll most likely take it, unless rhe travel requirements are insane.

Good luck to your H.
Tonight is date night. I'm looking forward to trying a new restaurant with friends before the Journey concert. The rest of the weekend is unplanned, but will likely involve a playdate for W and swimming.
Yawn. H went to bed a bit after 9 (he usually goes to bed at 7:30) and he was up at 6:20, yay. I told him in the monitor to go back to sleep so we shall see.
My purse broke yesterday at the recital so now I need to go shopping today to find a new one.

Have fun at the concert! I bet they put on a good show!
Love it TrudyCampbell. I need to order one for Claire. What size is Ruby, 3?
Yes, that's a 3 and I have Ruby's most recent stats (as of late march) 29 lbs 35.25 inches
She's in a 3T gap and HA 90. Hope that helps! The dresses are so cute and soft!
Very helpful, thank you!! Claire's weird. She's in 2T-3T tops and 18-2T bottoms. 90 HA fits her though, so that's helpful. She's having an ice cream themed birthday so I need to get my order in for an ice cream dress

Boys b day party is tomorrow. I'm not sure if I should cry or scream.
Its at a splash pad at our gym.
They called my husband 2 hours ago letting him know they haven't gotten the splash pad or outdoor pool inspected yet for the year so they have to move our party inside to the indoor pool.
NOT THE SAME AS A SPLASH PAD PARTY!
If I wanted a pool party I would have planned one.
These kids are 4 and 5 - a mix of special needs and probably no one swims. Parents expect a splash pad so wont be prepared with bathing suits on.
They said they would staff the pool with lifeguards in the water but I would want a life guard per kid and I doubt they would staff 30 people!
I'm pretty upset, sad and all the emotions.
I know my boys will still have fun but it isn't nothing like I envisioned.
All my decorations, favors and cake are splash pad themed too.

WAHHHHH
Can you call and explain this to them? I'd be pissed and you need to notify everyone now
I'd be ticked off teamhayes. Do they do open gym parties or something that might work better? Our Y does gym parties that look like they're a lot of fun for this age group. I'm sorry they messed up
Are there any other kids having anxiety over preschool ending? B is really sad that school is over on Tuesday and does not want to leave his teacher or friends. I can't even talk to him about fun things we're doing this summer because he starts crying about how he doesn't want to go to kindergarten and just wants to be with his teacher.

He doesn't seem to realize it yet but I'm expecting a tough transition in mid July He's been in the same daycare since 5m and is switching this summer then going to kinder in September
Andrew and I went out for pizza. There was one slice left and we both wanted it. He had already had too much, so I told him that we'd take it home to daddy, since he's at work and hasn't had any. I'm now hiding in the bathroom, eating the last slice of pizza. The empty box, labeled "for daddy," is still in the fridge so Andrew doesn't catch on. I even texted my husband so he'd go along with it when Andrew undoubtedly asks him about it.
This is what my life has become. 53 days until school starts.
jaime183 B went to his old daycare from 3 months to this past August. I think the only reason why he didn't flip out when he started his new school this fall was that we didn't tell him until the week before. They've been talking about kindergarten and where they're all going next fall all spring, so it's been building up for awhile.
We are renting this amazing, massive, beautiful mountain home for the weekend with a bunch of family. My uncle just cracked the super fancy stove top. Ugh. He will cover the 1k deposit that my H I put down but it's really put a damper on everyone's fun night.
TrudyCampbell - I ordered the rainbow dress a few days ago. Today was a PA day so Madison and I spent the day together. We went to a local festival and she had a blast.
My little sister is visiting with her boyfriend .. pair of 19 year olds in the house!
They can't go to the bars here (the legal age is 18 in Ireland) so I feel a bit bad for them but also happy that my mother doesn't have to worry about her going out getting drunk in Boston
W's belt test for taekwondo was tonight. He graduated from the little kid program so it was kind of a special night for him. I invited my sister (she doesn't have kids) but said it wasn't a big deal if she didn't come. She responded last night that she was going to come. But then tonight, she texted and said that she was tired and had a few things to get done tonight. Um, she just posted on FB a picture of a pitcher of sangria that she is making for tomorrow! I'm annoyed that that was her reason for not coming. Maybe I'm being BEC with her....

The pain medication my doctor put me on for my chest pain from the seatbelt/air bag from the accident yesterday is insane. When I took my first dose last night I was high as a kite. My skin was buzzing, I felt like I was falling just laying in bed, and as with many pain killers I take, my face was super itchy. I also kept waking up in the motn wide awake. It was weird. So this morning I only took half a dose. I was able to avoid all the side effects above minus the waves of sleepiness and surges of energy. I'd be fine one minute, and then kept falling asleep mid conversation the next, multiple times today. I took a full dose before bed just now and fell asleep for 30 minutes. Now I'm wide awake and itchy again. Nooo! On the plus side, my chest pain isn't nearly as bad as last night. It hurt to breathe and lift things yesterday. Today it's only when lifting heavy things like my kids and it's still very tender to the touch, but breathing is pain free.
