I guess it depends. I mean, if its bad and i have to run, ill either go on the treadmill or suffer outside, carry water and go reallllllly slow and try to go later when the sun is going down. But i probably would just say no how no way definitely not if its over 90 with any kind of humidity.
But i mean, im my ideal world id never run when its over 60 lol
Humidity is more important to me than heat. I've been "comfortable in upper 80s with no humidity, but been miserable in 70s when it is really humid. 90 is my hard cutoff where I don't run outside no matter what.
I have a pretty high tolerance level. 95 is my limit. But I will only run 90-95 if I can find a completely shaded route.
I won't run above 85 during the work hours since I get too sweaty. I would do it at home since I can get a decent shower in and don't have to worry about makeup or anything.
I'll run in almost any weather (I do not like treadmills) but in 90+ only if I can avoid direct sun. And I'm realistic about how much I can/should run in really hot or humid weather.
I'll run if it is over 90, but only on shaded trails. And really, if it is 90 at my house it is usually as much as 10 degrees cooler on the mountains anyway. I've done a couple 85-90 in my non shaded neighborhood and just adjust my pace greatly. It's usually more a shuffle in those temps and I always carry water.

Anything muxh above 75 but I live in az so I either get out early or don't run. Also where I live there us practically no shade on the routes. We areoving back to the mitten this week and I am so excited for that.

Yesterday I did 45 minutes when it was 91 and no shade and it was awful. If I actually plan my route better (i.e., shade) and take water with me, I'll go up to 95-ish if I have to. Where I live now, the sun doesn't set until 9:15 these days, so waiting for the sun to go down is a hard option.

Right? Especially if you have to get up at some ungodly hour for a morning workout.

whut?
Sorry we are moving back to the mitten (michigan) this week and while.I will have to deal with humidity I won't have to deal with heat that az has and no shade. So I am excited.
Eta: I ran in houston area in april and am from michigan do I used to humidity. In april I told my brother it was actually nice because it was like a mist when I ran lol

I did not know that michigan was called the mitten. I get it now. geography joke! Most likely joke category to go right over my head. I am an utter failure at geography.

We also use our hand to point out where in michigan we live cause we are cool like that.

I don't know if I have a set limit, but I slow down significantly if it's hot. I also get hot very quickly. Anything above 60 means I'm wearing shorts and a tank, and I'm sweating.

that would totally work for me. I tend to explain where things are by attempting to act out maps. Like, pretend this circle is the beltway (draws giant circle in the air)....

Turn your hand 90 degrees and you've got Kentucky! When I went to college (UK), people would tell me where the were from and I'd be like "you have to show me on your hand" LOL
Ideally, I'd prefer 85 or less. But I'd run in hotter temps if I was going to have a mostly shaded route. And/or breeze. It's pretty breezy here on the regular. Today we had a nice breeze and mid 70s, but felt perfect out for running.

I try to look at the forecast and plan my runs so I'm avoiding the hottest days. But if I'm training and everyday is hot it's hard to always avoid. If it's going to be over 90 I try to run as close to dusk or after dark. I'm an evening runner so that works out fine for me. Last summer with marathon training I'd still have to start some of my long runs before dark so I wasn't out there till midnight. I wear a visor, have a cooling towel and lots of water. It's not my ideal temp but I prefer heat to cold. I will avoid running outside if it's too cold but i will usually go out in heat. As long as it's not too sunny I can usually survive. So nighttime is good for me.
Some of those long super hot runs last summer were saved by sprinklers 😂

40-50s are my favorite so anything above 80 is killer ESP with our humidity. So 85 would be my cut off but I run earrrrrly to avoid a lot of that. But this year's been brutal. 80 at 6 am already 😱
Fortunately the temps in England don't get super hot or cold. Average summer temp is 23-25 (77F) rarely much more than that and winter is 0-5 (32-41F) so not terribly cold. I don't think we even got snow this winter.
Hottest for me that would be a no go is 35 (95F). Above 30 (86) with humidity. Below that and I can generally get 5K done even if I don't enjoy it and am not fast.
Today was a perfect 10 (50F) degrees so I got 10K done with my dog at 5:30am. I'm out all day on site and the boyfriend is in Spain overnight so I was glad the temp was low enough for him to join me as he'll sleep all day now.
90? Unless it's a race. If I paid for it, I'm running, lol. I'll be super slow, but I'll do it. If it's just a training run or whatever I might not. That said I've never skipped a planned run because of temps. If it was going to be that hot I would just do it as early in the day as I can. I'm a morning runner so it usually works out ok.
I'm currently starting heat acclimation* training so I'll get back to this in several weeks.
*not just running when it's stupid hot, like actively subjecting myself to 100+ temps to promote early sweating and productive intake of fluids. No more ac in my car. Hold me.
I'm really intrigued about this and I definitely want to hear about the results.
