We are spending the day at my parents' lake house and going to the zoo and eating at my favorite restaurant on the lake. We may take Jack on a pony ride too, which would really be a present for me because I LOVE horses. I'm excited!

SO this happened today:

Random employee who is always clearly bored and needing more work: “Hey MrsMB, your car tag is expired.”

Me: “Wow, that’s OBSERVANT!” (Seriously? How the heck would you even be close enough to check my tag in the first place and WHY do you care? Secondly, it IS renewed as the 18 sticker is clearly on the bottom of the plate.)

OMG. I've seriously never walked around checking people's car tags before.

I've been reading the boards but not posting much.

DH and I are fighting more then ever because of these stupid renos. They will be done tomorrow (thankfully) and the real estate agent is coming to take pictures on Sunday. Once this is done we can get back to a normal life. Urg!

HoneySpider I contacted customer service and they told me it was an automatic email, and the warnings are pregenerated. She said I can ignore them all and won't have any trouble. I told her, you guys may want to change the system so it only sends those notices to international travellers. I saved screenshots of the conversation in case there are any issues. Fingers crossed. If it works, it saved me $50. If it doesn't, then... lol.

amaranth, yeah having that be the default is not good business practice. It definitely would have made me anxious!
