Single is amazing!! I always use the dishwasher or towel dry and immediately put away, so I never have anything on the counters. If I need to have something soak it sits off to the side of the sink while we do dishes, then it's ready to go. When I did wash pump parts I had a small bowl I would use to soak them, that works easily.
2 uneven sides. Our last house had this - I could put my largest skillet, flat, in the bigger basin. Our new house has 2 bowls evenly divided and I hate it.

Interesting thread, I was just wondering about which set up is better. It really does seem dependent on what you prefer.
If I had 1 huge sink, I'd probably need a washing tub to put in there when I wanted to hand wash...I still don't know what I'd prefer. I have 2 even sinks and it works pretty well (1 side holds the drying rack, which gets a fair amount of use even though I don't primarily hand wash).
I like a divided, unequal sink with the disposal on the large side. We installed one in our old house and loved it. I never had trouble fitting even large items in it to wash and the small side was very handy to put dirty dishes in, especially since I'm home with dd quite a bit. It's standard to install the disposal on the smaller side (actually the side closest to the dishwasher but that is typically the smaller side) but we just had them do it the other way.
