mellym, I actually read that first paragraph with a mocking voice in my head. As though you or tell you sorry to ask if your mom's mocking tone. I'm sorry you're having issues. I def always felt that my mom could never find anything to compliment me on growing up or as an adult. She passed away before DD was born (a few years) and in many ways it has of course been so hard not to have her but there have actually been some blessings, as yucky as that is to say. Our parenting styles are vastly different, and she always took things like that personally. I did it with you and you don't want to do you must be saying I'm a bad mother kind of thing.
