We booked tree trimmers for last friday. We have 80 ft pines on our property that needed some serious help. Well, we left for the weekend and they swore up and down that it would be done by Saturday.
We got home last night and nope, job isn't done. And they left cut limbs all over our property. Dh was pissed.
They came this morning and they are giving us 15% off the bill for their screw up. So I guess that's the bright side here.
Pass the caffeine. R was awake for 2.5 hrs in the middle of the night last night. No idea why. I'd get her to sleep on me in the glider and then when I'd try to transfer her back to the crib she'd scream. I even tried laying on the ground in her room - just to be near but not holding her. Eventually she got exhausted enough and finally knocked off.
Also, tomorrow I am going to start pting Corinne. Wish us luck and send alcohol!
Good luck!!! Colton was surprisingly very quick with pee. He's been like terrified to poop in the potty, but gets so upset when he goes in his pants. I finally got him to poop twice this weekend in the potty, and while he screamed while he was doing it, I think I talked him into not being as scared. His poop comes out soooooo fast though lol.
I hope Corinne picks it up quickly, and you are soon done with diapers!!

Thanks!
She's actually been poop trained since the spring so I'm hoping the pee comes quick. She is very excited about princess underwear, haha.
And since we are talking about poop, any ideas on how to get Ari to wipe himself? He refuses and must do so by kindy (5 weeks!).
Im still working with A. She was super scared to do it for some reason. We have progressed to having her do it and me checking/redoing it after she does. She's okay with that but idk what she will do at school when I'm not there to check after her.
Feeding a baby and waiting for the carpet cleaner. DH and I restaged our house yesterday as per realtor instructions. Everything looks so tidy and roomy... who knew we could achieve home nirvana by just boxing up half our stuff?

Ari is terrified. He also gags when he sees it, ugh.
H's final teeth are finally coming in! He's been not eating, fighting sleep, gagging, and having awful poops for a week, but I hadn't checked because he bite me the last time I did. Well finally got a look and at least 2 have come through. I cannot wait until he's done teething!
I bought the dye stuff to do with the girls. Should be fun. Also bought stuff to paint the bathroom cabinets bc they're so worn and look bad. Went for a dark blue/grey hopefully it turns out good! Cross your fingers!
I'm slowly weaning V bc she'll be a year in a month. I feel like I'm making barely any milk anyway. But she won't drink cows milk AT ALL. Anybody else have kids who hated it? What'd you do? Just push other fluids and yogurt and cheese (she loves both of those at least). We've tried pediasure and milk and chocolate milk. She only likes water or diluted apple juice.
Wait, a year?!? Already? That can't be possible! She's still 6 months in my mind.

Which teeth are coming in? 2 year molars? Claire is still teething....at 3 lol she is cutting 2 of her molars currently. Luckily it doesn't seem to bother her much but this has been the slowest process!

Olivia also refuses. I'm not sure what to do about that. She's only going half days so hopefully she doesn't go at school. Claire's still working on poop training and gets treats when she goes so I'm thinking I might need to entice Olivia to try with some of Claire's reward candy or something. She's not even that good at wiping pee, I really don't think she can do a thorough poop wipe.
William will not potty train. I don't know what to do!
I'm sick of changing his gross poop diapers. It seems ridiculous that he still uses a diaper since it's a full year past when matilda potty trained with no issues. Ugh
He just doesn't care when he pees or poops himself. I offer bribes of candy and he's happy to pee or poop here and there but 98% of the time he just says NO POTTY. I've started telling him that he can't move up to the big kids classroom (where he desperately wants to go) at school until he stops using diapers but it's like .. he just doesn't register what I am saying
our fence is almost done! Not sure if anybody remembers but we imported my dad this summer to babysit for the wedding we had to go to and to build our fence as the contractors said it would be about $14k for the fence.
I'm so excited! Soon our entire back yard will be 100% closed in with a 6 foot privacy fence. Matilda is disappointed because she loved talking to the neighbors kid through the gaps in the rotting fence but I will appreciate the privacy as I hate spontaneous get-togethers brought about by our non-private fence

Are you still thinking of adding on to your house?
Our neighbors have an undormered cape and they are adding a full second floor plus a great room and a mudroom. They went from 1200 sq st to 3000! Unfortunately, it is taking forever. They started in May don't think it will be done until October.
We are closing tomorrow and the buyers "expressed concern that we aren't watering" because they drove past over the weekend and the lawn isn't pristine. GTFO of here. It's been 106 the last week and the yard isn't going to look like it did in June. They have their final walkthrough tonight and now I'm nervous. We left out our $200 water bill for them to peruse :eyeroll:

Yes, the 2 year molars! I guess they get more molars later right, like at 8 or something? He is the worst teether so I cannot wait until he's done lol.

still don't know what to do!
if we do the full build out we'd go from 1240 to probably about 2000 I think which would be huge for us. However it would cost about 200k I think which is a lot. I'd rather move, but then, anything I want is WAY too expensive so we are kind of stuck and unsure.
there are small things we could do, like close in the screen porch (adds 144 square feet), pop out a single upstairs small dormer just for a bathroom and turn one of the downstairs rooms into a bedroom ... this would give us what we need (3 beds, extra bath) but with a much lower cost.
My H would also love a giant garage and mudroom but some friends of ours built an oversized garage/mudroom recently to the tune of more than 100k.

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH
I'm sorry! This is my big fear with H. He has to PT at exactly 3 or he misses a whole year of preschool which would make me cry, he probably wouldn't care lol. Have you looked into any of the 3+ PTing books, there are a few out there for the 3+ age group that are supposed to work better for kids those ages. PTing might be the worst parenting thing I've done, they need a camp you can send them to where they do it for us.

I would be like grasses tend to go dormant in heat (especially 106). Besides watering grass is wasteful and we conserve the earth. Or some shit like that. Good luck.

yeah we told them we've been watering and texted our water bill and said that about the grass going dormant and that it recovers once the high is under 100 for days on end. If we hadn't been watering everything would be completely burnt to a crisp and not just a little singed.

I seriously can't believe someone in Texas doesn't realize it gets singed. It gets singed here above 88.
laurack - G was just past 3 when he PT and while it felt like he was one of the last ones, it was easy peasy once he was finally ready. I'm a big fan of waiting until they're ready to PT...within reason of course. Lol.
fusion - are these OOT buyers or first time home buyers?? It's SUMMER. My parents have green grass, but are on the coast.
